Men tend to think their hair is darker than it really is. Follow this advice to find the right shade for you:
If you only have a few grey hairs, choose a shade one tone lighter than your natural colour. If you have a lot of grey hair, pick a shade two shades lighter than your natural colour.
SKIN ALLERGY TESTIMPORTANT: HAIR COLOURANTS CAN CAUSE AN ALLERGIC REACTION WHICH IN RARE CASES MAY BE SEVERE. SKIN ALLERGY TEST MUST BE DONE 48 HOURS BEFORE EACH APPLICATION EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY USED A HAIR COLOURANT.
HOW TO PERFORM THE SKIN ALLERGY TESTIf you wear earrings, remove them. Behind the ear and using a cotton-bud, apply a little of the unmixed colourant product sufficient to cover the area of a small coin. Re-apply two or three times allowing it to dry in between applications. Carefully reseal the colourant container.
Leave for 48 hours
without washing, covering or touching. If during this period you notice any abnormal reactions - such as itching, redness or swelling in or around the test area,
DO NOT APPLY THE PRODUCT.
HOW TO APPLY EXCELL 5’
Open the colourant gel bottle and tip the whole of its contents into the developer bottle. Close the developer bottle carefully and shake it vigorously to obtain an even mixture. Break off the tip of the applicator bottle immediately after mixing to avoid the bottle bursting and damage from the product overflowing.
Easy Application on dry hair
Method A: If your greys are evenly spread throughout your hair a full head application is recommended
Apply the colourant mixture directly onto the brush.
Start application at the temples.
Brush through from the front to the back of your hair, following the direction of your hair style.
Next, apply the product in the opposite direction, from the back of your head to the front, to ensure the product is well spread throughout your hair.
Reapply the colourant mixture to the brush applicator and repeat the gesture until all your hair is well coated with the mixture.
Do not forget to apply the mixture to the back of the head and neck to complete the application.
Leave to develop for 5 minutes. Start timing once you have finished applying the product. For shades 2 Natural Black and 3 Natural Very Dark Brown, leave to develop for 10 minutes.
Rinse hair thoroughly until the water runs clear. Wash your hair with your usual shampoo.
Method B: If your greys are in concentrated areas a partial application is recommended
Apply the mixture directly onto the brush.
Locate the zones which contain the most grey hairs. Apply the mixture to these areas only.
Leave to develop for 5 minutes. Start timing once you have finished applying the product. For shades 2 Natural Black and 3 Natural Very Dark Brown, leave to develop for 10 minutes.
Rinse hair thoroughly until the water runs clear. Wash your hair with your usual shampoo.
