• General Terms and Conditions

  • 1. This campaign is open to all UK & ROI residents aged 16 and over, with the exception of the Promoter’s employees, their immediate families or anyone professionally connected with the campaign.

    2. The campaign is free to participate in and no purchase is necessary. 

    3. To participate, participants must upload onto their personal Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages, a throwback picture or video of themselves, alone or alongside a current image of themselves. Participants can then share their submission with their fans, friends and family on Facebook, Instagram or other forms of social media and nominate 3 other people to participate in the challenge, making sure they include the hashtag #ButLookAtMeNow in the caption.  Participants can then donate an amount of their choice to the Prince’s Trust charity, either by :
    • visiting the Team Worth It’s Just Giving page in aid of the Princes Trust at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/teamworthit
    • (if you are based in the UK) making a text donation to The Prince’s Trust by texting LPPT55 and the amount you wish to donate ( £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 , with the suggested amount being £3) to 70070.

    4. Participants cannot submit a video or photo on behalf of someone else. The image submitted must be the participant themselves. By submitting an image featuring another person, or any other third parties, you warrant that they are aged 16 or over and that person and any third parties have agreed to be featured in the photo or video for submission in this campaign and agree to these terms.

    5. All participants must have internet access with technology to upload a photo or video. Submissions will not be returned and are the property of the Promoter.

    6. Submissions must be received between 01 November 2017 at 00:01 (BST) and Jan 31st Jan 2018 at 23:59 (BST) (“Submission Period”). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for submissions not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.

    7. Any submissions containing any third party intellectual property without prior informed consent from the rights holder, or abusive, inappropriate, offensive or obscene language or imagery will be reported for removal. Examples of language/images considered to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene, include (but are not limited to): any message/image which contains (a) swearing; (b) comments or actions which appear to be discriminatory of any person, company or group of individuals, for example comments of a racist, sexist or homophobic nature; (c) sexual innuendo, sexual language or sexual acts, actions or gestures; (d) promoting any illegal unlawful activity such as drug use; (e) any message/image that appears to be an advertisement or solicitation to buy; and (f) any materials (whether written or visual) that directly or indirectly relate to L’Oréal Paris competitor brands or that show any intention of promoting any brand other than L’Oréal  Paris or the Prince’s Trust. 

    8. Neither the Promoter nor agencies involved in this campaign may be liable to any participants, whether arising from tort including negligence, breach of contract or otherwise or for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to participation in this campaign, or in relation to the donation to the extent permissible by law.

    9. The Promoter reserves the right to add to or vary these terms and conditions or cancel the campaign at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its reasonable control. 

    10. The Promoter shall own all the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the submissions and any other materials (whether visual, oral or written) generated during the various stages of this campaign, in perpetuity and on a worldwide basis for use at the Promoter's sole discretion including, without limitation, use in advertising, other media, press releases, editorial and promotional activity, point of sale material, the Promoter's websites, third party websites (including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube), newsletters and e-newsletters.

    11. Accordingly participants assign to the Promoter any copyright and other intellectual property rights which exist in their participation in the campaign, and irrevocably waive any moral rights that could vest in them (which shall include their name, city and age) under the Copyrights, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or otherwise, and undertake to do all things necessary immediately on the Promoter’s request to effect or confirm any assignment in this paragraph.

    12. Participants' submissions, future submissions and quotes generated during any stage of the campaign may be modified by the Promoter to fit in context with the content of the relevant usage, whilst maintaining the original sentiment.

    13. By participating in this campaign, participants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these terms and conditions and the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and Facebook Community Standards.  

    14. English law applies and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this campaign.

    15. This campaign is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used as stated in these terms and conditions. By participating in this campaign, participants will be deemed to have released Facebook from any and all liability arising from their participation in the campaign or out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the campaign.

    16. Participants must have read and accept the L’Oreal Paris Privacy Policy to be eligible.
