THE POWER OF AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations are an amazing way to change the way you feel – and the easiest way to describe them is they’re positive statements about you or how you interact with the world. Affirmations are also something you can say or repeat to yourself – a great example is, “My future is what I make it” – not only because it helps you see the future differently, but it also tells you that you’re the one who is in control. 

What’s even more amazing, is there’s strong scientific evidence to suggest that even just by saying your affirmation to yourself – or repeating it in your head – you not only start believing it, but it also gives you a positive boost on how you feel too. In fact, the evidence shows the more you say it, the more you believe it – even if you didn’t 100% at first.

So how do you go about creating your own affirmation? With so many options open to you, it’s only natural you might not know where to begin. But a great start is the reassuring: “I’m doing the best I can”. Or you can think about how to change the way you want to behave by using something like: “I will let go of what I can’t control.” Or you can even use our original affirmation: “I am worth it” because we believe you truly are. 

Once you’ve created your own statement, now you can use your personal affirmation to start changing self-doubt into self-worth. And the great thing is no-one needs to know. You don’t have to share it with friends, family or even the world. All it takes is just 30 seconds every morning where you can say or think about the words in your own affirmation – and these moments will help you lay the foundations for a whole new outlook on life.
