Feels horrible on my skin, very disappointed

Used L'Oréal loads of times, but this is awful. It's the second tub I bought as I was convinced the first one was faulty because of how it felt... it sits like a film of top of my (clean) skin, and feels very peculiar. It feels sticky and it actually comes away on my skin if I rub my face or neck, which I'm only doing because I can feel the product sitting on the surface. I don't know what's happened, but I'll won't be buying any more .

Bought this in Superdrug on a deal with the night cream and serum & the area around my eyes has dried up & turned to tissue paper & very sore. I’d recommend a patch test first as my skin also seems very uneven & my pores look much bigger. I used the vitamin c range before, that was much better.

Not for me made my face very sore

The worst product I have ever brought from Boots I put a small amount on first thing in the morning went to the corner shop and by they time I got home my face was burning and stinging to the extent I was in tears. Took the product off with cotton pads soaked in luke warm water and my face was bright red and extremely sore. I have never ever had such a bad reaction to anything. Use with extreme caution and do a patch test first

Disappointed

This cream smelled beautiful and seemed rich in texture. However, after two days my skin became blotchy and very irritated. I have stopped using it, and will revert to good old Nivea. I'm very disappointed as L'Oreal products usually have an excellent reputation. It didn't work for me, but maybe others will be fine with it.

I have used L'Oreal products many times before, and chose this Age Perfect product because I wanted something with SPF protection. Unfortunately, this particular cream does not suit my skin at all, it caused an itchy, burning sensation as soon as I put it on. Thought it was coincidence, so persisted for a couple of days but no better. Switched to another cream for a few days, skin calmed. Tried Age Perfect again and same unpleasant reaction. No idea which ingredient/s is setting my skin off.

Awful skin reaction to this. Had raised bumps on cheeks, eyebrows and neck. Itching, red raw and burny feeling. So not recommend this product whatsoever. Shall stick to Aveeno all day long. These products are gimmicky.

Face and neck reaction

My daughter bought me this as part of my birthday present, I was going on a cruise and she knew I used L’Oréal before so got me this one as it had the 30 SPF in it. My god did I have a reaction my face and neck looked like raised burns the irritation was horrendous and I spent 4 days of my holiday in absolute pain, would not have photos taken.

I thought I had extreme sunburn

Having previously used L’Oreal face creams with added collagen I expected no side effects with this product. However, after one day’s application I came home from a day’s hiking puzzled as to why I has sustained severe sunburn on my face. It took another day for the penny to drop - not sunburn but extreme burning from my new L’Oreal face cream. I’m obviously sensitive to something in this formulation so if you have sensitive skin I would avoid too.

This feels lovely going on. Smooth and not too greasy. I can’t tell really if it’s done anything amazing for my skin, but I like that it’s got the SPF addition and I wear it during the day and sometimes even at night because it’s very comfortable on the face

Burnt, itchy skin

Like the previous reviewer, I have used the Age Perfect day cream for years however picked up the SP30 collagen new formula thinking it was the same thing. Within a short period of time my face was stinging, itchy and bright red with burning sensation.

Have used Loreal age perfect day cream for years and love it. But by mistake I picked up the day cream with SP30 and has really burnt my face terrible itching. Dreadful.

Unexpected reaction to this product

I'm 70 years young, and in my whole life I have never had any 'allergy, irritation, negative reaction etc' to anything. Also I have used many different face creams all my adult life. 4 applications of this and my face & neck was bright red and very itchy. It lasted 3 days, then on the 4th day started to clear. I was very shocked by this so contacted L'Oreal. I answered a lot of questions and I was thanked for this as L'Oreal have 'an entire department dedicated to the monitoring of all reactions & injuries caused by the use of any of our products'. so my data was useful to them. I asked for advice if there was an ingredient that was an addition to this particular cream that wasn't in others, so I could avoid it. Told to 'Google' each ingredient to find out what it was & what it doe, then compare to other creams. This is the list of ingredients !!!

Even better it has the added benefit of having a sun factor 30 protection in it. As much as I didn't want to move on from my current brand and admit that I need an older cream this actually suits my mature skin and I would thoroughly recommend it to people of a certain age! I used it alongside the eye and night creams and my skin definitely looks like my fine lines have disappeared.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gill from Anti sagging works. Age perfect retightening cream is a little bit greasy for my skin. I just put less in the t zone. Smells nice. It has SPF30 which I prefer to have in a face cream. It is helping with sagging so will be using as a regular face product.

I am ising this on my neck and it feels lovely. Thr neck is the first place to go....so get that cream on!!
