Extremely disappointed
Please bring back the matte setter…why would you leave the pink and green ones when they suck. I tried the pink primer as an alternative to the discontinued one and it’s awful, it clung to my makeup and made everything cakey and flake off. Extremely disappointed with your decision to discontinue the best primer I’ve ever used. Please bring it back.

Light texture
I did try it on before applying my foundation and found it left my foundation flaky. I only use it on it's own now. It is very light in texture and leaves my skin soft.

Not for Sensitive Skin
I have fairly sensitive skin, as many with facial redness do, and my skin did not tolerate this Redness Eraser. I've seen it do a beautiful job on others, however my skin became inflamed and so uncomfortable that I had to wash it off. I've discovered that my face cannot tolerate Niacinamide, and it seems to be in SO many products, even ones claiming to be for sensitive skin. Sadly, my hunt for an effective redness reducer continues on.

I will absolutely be repurchasing this. This is by far the best primer. I have ice pick acne scars it makes a difference and blurs it. Trick is to let it set for a couple of minutes before applying foundation like with all primers it will pill a little if you don’t let it sink in for a couple of minutes. . I love everything about it-the scent, and the fact that it’s not that silicone slip and slide primer. I hate that greasy feeling. I love the consistency and It absorbs beautifully onto the skin and then put the foundation and you are flawless. I think this is absolutely worth it if it wasn’t a little steep in a price I would buy a bunch to have. It is worth the price though in my opinion, love it.!!!

Blurring
This does a great job at blurring the skin and therefore minimising the size of pores. They look a lot less obvious. Make up goes on over this really well. I thought it would work well for my oily skin but it's a little too heavy.

Bought this primer as the infallible primer was discontinued. Absolutely devastated with the results. It’s horrendous! Never mind minimising my pores - it made every single one more noticeable. It also made trying to apply my foundation really difficult. Please bring back the infallible primer!

You cannot put foundation on top of this at all, it just smears goes flakey and clumps, I kept it as a back up but actually it’s not even good for that as just ruins your makeup. Forget about it hiding pores.

Wouldn’t recommend.
I love the L’Oréal foundations and concealer but this made them go so flaky on my skin and make my makeup look awful. I have quite a dry skin type so maybe it’s just not for my type of skin but be wary, I’ve seen many people say the same.

Minimizer? It’s a Pore Highlighter for Me!
I tried this pore minimizer multiple days in a row with three different moisturizers (making sure it wasn’t that causing a problem). Each day my makeup looked cakey and every single penny nose was highlighted, front and center, with all my foundation going into it. So disappointing.

Pills and Oxidizes Every Time
This primer oxidizes and pills under/over everything! I've tried several moisturizers, susncreens, and foundations under/over this stuff and it oxidizes and pills every. single. time. It makes my makeup look awful. I'm so bummed.

Flakey and horrid smell!
Although this product did seem to reduce the appearance of pores a little bit, it goes flakey quite quickly on your skin and it's not possible to put foundation on top of it.
Also, it has an intense scent, which gave me a headache and made my eyes and nose start streaming .
So, I won't be using this again.

Great alternative primer.
I do like alternating this primer with another brand. It applies really well into my skin and then I apply a light coverage of foundation. Doesn’t feel cakey at all. Stays on all day and wipes off easily.

Definitely works/Great for oily tan or deep tones
I purchased it yesterday because it looked like a tinted primer. The wear and look of this primer on my face exceeded my expectations. I'm in the olive/tan range and I'm oily. It didn't get greasey and slippy on my face after work and it's hot out now. The color looks natural and matched me. I wore it alone without putting my regular foundation on top of it.

Not great for skin, make up doesn't sit well
I purchased this recently instore as the L'Oréal Infallible Matte Primer wasn't available. This primer is awful, it doesn't reduce pores as stated in its name, makeup doesn't sit smooth on top of it and it's scented. It's made my skin break out in alot of acne.
Definitely will not be buying this product again, and it looks like they've discontinued their better primer so it's time to switch to a different brand.

I use to dislike primers
My mom bought this and I used it. I generally dislike primers I've tried because they feel and look like they slide around even after it's suppose to be dry BUT THIS IS AWESOME! First time I've used a primer that I could see the difference immediately. I'm 40 yrs old and starting to see enlarged pores and texture. But it doesn't move! So worth it!! Thank you. I try my best to take care of my skin but it gets expensive. Like I said earlier, I wasn't a fan of primers at all until I used this. It made the foundation I like the least look great!

This is the first time I have had a reaction to anything I have put on my face. After two days of use face erupted and left red and blotchy. I stopped using and applied to inside elbow just to check it was this causing it. And yes two days in and my skin has reacted badly. Clearly something in this product my skin does not like.

I honestly think this is awful. I didn't feel like my pores looked any smaller and it was impossible to put make up on top of - it just went clumpy immediately and wouldn't blend. So infact it did the exact opposite of what you'd expect!

What a terrible product. The product itself goes on fine but then when you apply foundation on top it doesn’t blend in well at all because of the primer. It leaves my face every time with smears were the foundation won’t blend in and it crumbles and just all round looks bad.

Not for mature skin
Bought this based on the hype that it covers pores etc with no pilling. I applied my normal morning moisturizer, let it sink in for half hour. Applied the primer, so far so good, covered some fine lines and smaller pores, again let it sit for 10 minutes whilst i did my hair. Applied my usual Clarins re-boost tinted cream over the top and it literally was clumping and smudging all over the place. Wiped it off, threw it straight in the bin.

I have a problem . My face is with large open pores.this minimiser really helps wirh this problem. I used it every morning before putting my make up. Nice texture, almost without smell. Absorbed very fast without sticky feelings. Make up laying nice and easy. Stayed all day without any problems. Easy removed with normal face washing products.

This is a nice feeling primer which gives a velvety finish to the skin - has a nice grip so foundation really lasts on top of it. If I’m honest it’s a little silicone feeling to me, which isn’t my favourite texture but it performs well. Despite the inclusion of ahas I didn’t experience irritation

Need version for light skin
I bought this not knowing it was for TAN /DARK skin. The print was soooo tiny. I had to return it as I am not tan/darked skin.
Will there be a version of this product for LIGHT skin like you use to make under the name Studio Secrets Anti Dull Skin Primer? I loved that product and can't find it any longer. It adds just the right amount of color to offset my dull pale skin AND it's fantastic primer for the bit of foundation I then use.

I loved the smell of it as well. It worked great under my foundation &other complexion products. It also worked great on my bare skin without foundation. Improves appearance of my skin
This definitely improves the appearance of my skin. It has a silky smooth texture, almost like a liquid talc is the best way I can describe it. I have combination skin and a darker skin tone so in some ways I think it might be more suitable for an oily skin base/fairer complexion as it seems to give a slightly rosy pink appearance, having said that it does seem to enhance a natural healthy glow when worn alone. Long lasting and certainly improves the appearance and longevity of my make up.

As I have only had this for one week I cannot comment on any improvement to my skin which should be visible in 3 weeks. It is very easy to apply and goes on smoothly leaving the skin hydrated. It does seem to keep your makeup in place for the entire day so very happy with it so far.

Prime lab primer pore refining
I love the Prime Lab primer which helps hideaway all my pores. When using the product it has a lovely delicate fragrance which isn't to harsh for the skin as well as the texture is lovely creamy but very light. When applied onto my skin it is very fast absorbing and doesn't leave any greasy residue which i love. Once dried i have a smooth canvas skin to work on and this helps my makeup get the best results and spread on smoothly. My pores are also reduced and hidden with this primer which makes it even better i would definitely recommend and purchase this product again.

Gentle and effective primer
Loreal Prime Lab Advanced Derm Primer is great when you have rough orange peel type skin or open pores. I tend to have open pores on my nose, so I tried it on there and the primer does give a blurry effect so that your make-up goes on smoother and the illusory effect of smooth skin is enhanced. It also helps the make up to 'hold' to the skin better, making your foundation last longer. However, the effect is only temporary. If you want your pores to really be minimised, then the AHA, LHA and BHA needs to be given time to work....around three weeks.
I thought this product was good because products with AHA can be quite drying for sensitive skin, but I was absolutely fine with this.

I received this product free for review - This is a really great primer. It manages to blur pores and make skin look smooth without being thick or cakey. It has a strong scent but it’s a really nice one and the texture is barely noticeable once it’s on the skin. Only downside is the packaging not having tactile markers to help users with vision loss.

Rivals some of the best high luxury primers
Great for those with problematic skin. I wasn’t convinced by the blurb but it really does help blur pores and uneven skin. It’s also quite nourishing and contains AHA + LHA + BHA complex. It also dries quickly and is not too heavy on your skin. It also sits well under you makeup but you may want to use a fixing spray to keep your make up for long as it’s not as tacky as other primers.
