Age Perfect Golden Age Day Cream

This stuff works! I have very sensitive skin and consequently have been very lax in moisturising for the last 50 plus years. Result - dry, dull, wrinkly quite horrible and older than my years skin. I bought a tub of this, beautifully packaged, 'jar of hope' and I love it. My skin feels soft, moisturised and looks a little brighter. Early days yet but I am very impressed with this product - far better than the so-called hypo-allergenic expensive brands. The information on the side of the box is very informative also. I may well splash out on the other products in this range.

I have used L’Oréal items for more years than I can remember. I am now 73 years old and first started using face cream aged 15 years when I first started work. Even at that young age I hated me skin to feel dry and tight and over the years have prided myself on always daily using creams and keeping my skin supple and nice. Over the years I have used various face creams, usually changing when new items or updated creams come on the market but can honestly say that mostly they have been L’Oreal branded. Quite some time ago someone gifted me the Age Perfect Golden Age range of Eye, Day and Night creams and I fell in love with them. The creams made my skin feel hydrated, softer, smoother and the slight rosy glow it gave lifted my face and looked great. I’m afraid that the praise ends there. The last jar of the day cream I have opened is awful. Instead of a nice thick cream it’s more like a gloopy liquid that does absolutely nothing to make the skin feel good. The rosy colour is now a tan/orangy looking colour that when on the skin looks more like a very bad orange false tan! It is so bad that I have had to cease using it. When I purchased this jar I doubled up, buying two. On checking the second one (hoping it would be the same as the original ones I used to purchase) I find that this too is the same as the one I am complaining about and is really awful so therefore must be a change to the formula. As a pensioner I don’t have money to waste but this time will have too cease using these creams and purchase some other type. At this stage I am unsure if they will be a L’Oreal brand. I feel so very disappointed in your product that I feel inclined to try some other brand. I really fail to understand why a company such as yours feels it necessary to change a successful formula such as has happened here. It can’t be for improvement as from my own experience and the ones who have placed reviews feel the same as I do. I feel it can only be a cost thing, I can assure you that I and others would gladly have paid a little more to keep the formula as it was. If your company decide to return to the original lovely formula of this cream please let me know and I will return to using it.
