Elvive Colour Protect Conditioner

I've used Elvive colour protect conditioner for a number of years and have loved it. However, the formula has changed recently and it's horrible. I may have to find another conditioner, which is something I regret! Please can we have the old formula back?

This conditioner helps to maintain my blonde balayage and means I don't have to use purple shampoo as often. It adds moisture without weighing down my fine hair. It doesn't make my hair greasy when applied to mid lengths and ends

When used with the shampoo makes for a lovely hair wash day pairing! The smell is gorgeous and really feels luxurious on your hair The conditioner it self has a lovely texture and makes hair feel velvety soft.

I've been using this conditioner for a few weeks now and feel that is a good conditioner but not maybe great. It's not quite nourishing enough for my coloured and middle-aged hair unfortunately. It may protect colour but I've not been using it for long enough to know

A few months ago I noticed a big difference in how my hair feels after using the Elvive Colour Protect shampoo. It feels like I can’t seem to wash it off my hair and scalp and when I dry it it feels like my roots are coated with a waxy film. This is no matter how long I spend trying to wash it out in the summer and this happens even when I don’t use any conditioner. I haven’t changed anything about the water I use to wash my hair in or anything else about my hair routine. Very strange and disappointing! My hair dresser had to wash my hair 4 times to get my scalp to feel clean when had it cut and blow dried recently.

L'Oréal Colour Protect Shampoo lathers well and my hair felt clean after. I used the conditioner too and my hair looked glossy after drying. I had dyed my hair the week before and the shampoo and conditioner seem to colour protect. I’ve only used it a few times so can't really say if it leaves intense colour upto 40 washes. I don't think it's as moisturising as some of their other shampoos.

This conditioner is my go to product since I reviewed it a few years ago. I have had coloured and treated hair for several years, and this is the only product that both protects hair and leaves it feeling smooth, shiny, and in good condition.
