Where is the product?

Been using this for years. This batch of 6 arrived - no aroma, no energising feeling and the only colour is the bottle. So that’s another customer lost.

Why have you ruined my favourite shower gel?

I just bought 6 bottles of my favourite shower gel, as I do several times a year. Unfortunately, it is not the same as it used to be. The formula has completely changed. It now has very little fragrance, it is also a lot runnier and it is also now colourless. As a result I now have 6 bottles of shower gel that are going to have to go in the bin. I cannot even begin to comprehend how someone decided that changing the formula of this shower gel would be a good idea. It has gone from being incredible to absolutely rubbish. You have just lost a good customer, and judging by the other recent reviews, you have also lost all the other faithful customers you used to have before this stupid change in formula.

used to love this brand of shower gel , but now its changed to a clear colour without the nice smell it used to have, i dont.

Been using this for ages, opened a new bottle and thought it was fake or faulty. Colour and lovely orange scent gone. Will be looking for an alternative. Why try and fix something that's not broken?

WHY CHANGE IT

been having this shower gel for ages then run out buy the xxl version to find out you have changed it, doesn't smell of anything and doesn't laver up either so disappointed, do i dare try a different one in the range or have you changed a good product for a crap product on all your range.

wrong change!

Have used this for several years and found it did have a 'wake up effect'. That has now gone with the new version - no scent, no colour. Disappointing, especially as they stopped producing the yellow camphor-based version some time back.

I recently switched back to using bar soap after years. Amazing how much dirt it cleans and also how it doesn't dry skin out. Shower gels ain't worth it and a waste of plastic

I bought this just a week ago and already it is empty. The gel isn’t really very gel-like. You pour it into your hand and it goes everywhere.
The other issue I had was that, as it is a clear fluid, you cannot see where it has gone, other than down the drain!

No orange scent now it's absolutely rubbish

Been using the hydra energetic for 8 years now and it's the best gel ever! Now L'Oréal have made the desicion to take away that beautiful smelling orange it's absolutely gutting I am gutted ! I found a gel I absolutely love and don't buy any other gel this is now a scentless crap gel what a awful desicion! Come on loreal we want the orange back !

my husband has used loreal mens camphor shower gel for years, but his latest batch it is colourless and odorless, why has it been changed, I loved going into the bathroom after he'd showered just for the amazing scent, now you would never know he's been showered, pleases change it back

Why the change

I've been using this shower gel for years. I finally had found a great smelling, vigorating shower gel. Then yesterday opened a new bottle and thought someone had tampered with it or it was fake. Now it's just clear, unscented gel. Why the hell would you change something that was so good. Look at all the recent reviews and change it back. You've lost another good customer. We want answers.

like other reviews below there is no longer any colour in the shower gel and very little fragrance, after many years I am now looking for alternatives. What is even more galling is that nobody at L'oreal seems to be monitoring these feedbacks or providing any form of explanation. What a shame

I have been buying the same shower Hydra Energetic shower gel for many years. The orange bottle, yes baby!
Today I thought I bought a fake, or that L’Oreal made serious mistake on the production line. Instead of orange, the gel became transparent colourless, and instead of a nice smell, not it is odourless. Did L’Oreal decide to save money this way? The only good thing about this gel is that yes, it actually gives expected amount of foam…
Now I will have to try something else. Admittedly, first I will try other gels from L’Oreal, as I like the brand.

Why change what works!!!

I have been purchasing the orange hydra shower gel for my son for approx 5 years. It was the only one he would use, said no others were as good with longlasting freshness. He has just noticed a change, said he comes out of the shower and smells the same? I was arguing its what I've always bought (as bottles and name very similar) but he then squirted it showing its now clear no longer orange. I have also now seen all the other comments from disgruntled customers, you have not even had the decency to acknowledge changes on the bottles! Is there any chance of changing back? Why were the changes made? I would appreciate a response.

I have been purchasing this product for many years sadly the formulation has been changed presumably to save production costs but the new formula is terrible. The gel is now a pale clear, odourless gel with the consistency of snot, Sorry L’Oréal but you’ve lost another customer

Missing colour fragrance and refreshing feel

I recently purchased two bottles of your L’Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Shower Gel which I have now been using for a number of years, these two bottles contain a shower gel which is clear not coloured like normal and is missing its fragrance and refreshing feel. I don’t know if this is a manufacturing problem or change in product. Either way seriously disappointed.

As with other reviews, I totally agree that this has gone from an amazing refreshing shower gel to completely bland. The colour, smell and refreshing feel has all but disappeared. Will not buy again until old formula is brought back. Very sad.

Changed formula

I always buy this product, but today I might finally stop.
The bottle change was completely accepted. However, changing the formula to resemble nothing it did prior to this was was not expected. My shower was full of disappointment and despair squirting this fragrance less, see through liquid into my hand this morning. Was expecting the same we usually buy because it is amazing.

The product seems to have been recently reformulated.
Great news that the bottle now contains less plastic. Big let down is the product is now clear and the fragrance has all but been removed. Doesn't seem as viscous either.
What once was a fantastic go-to product is a shadow of its former self.
