Usage

Great for your scalp!

I’ll definitely be buying this again! It helped the eczema and scabbing on my scalp and stopped the buildup as well as making my hair super soft and my roots feeling conditioned and cared for. I won’t ever be without it

I have used this product for a month now. It has lasted the month washing my hair twice a week so I think that is reasonable.
My hair gets greasy quickly but this seems to have given me an extra day or two.

Okay I guess

Product is good I think. I have tried the popular glycolic solution we all know and love and that is great for many things but not oily roots at all. I have tried all other salicylic solutions for hair sold at Boots and they've all made zero difference. I normally have to wash my hair on day two, with this product I can stretch it to day four, so I was actually impressed. Could be better though, if your scalp is proper clean, should last a week. Bottle is also very small for the price and I have thick hair, so it lasted me three uses only.

Clean and clear scalp

I have been using this once a week for a while now and I have noticed my scalp feels cleaner and takes longer to get oily which used to be the next day sometimes. I don’t used it too often and my skin can get sensitive but it’s been fab even once a week

I’ve just tried this as my hair gets greasy quickly and thought I’d try the serum before trying the whole lot, for the first time ever my hair is still greasy after washing it. Like sticky and heavy greasy, so not even how my hair normally goes, will not be using again.

I really liked this pre shampoo treatment and enjoyed using it. I feel it did make a difference. Hair feels cleaner and more silky to touch. Good advantage of this product is that you don’t have to leave it on for too long

Absolutely brilliant I wasn’t sure what to expect using this but my scalp has been soothed and my hair growth has been a lot better. My roots are not as greasy which is great with the upcoming weather, easy to use and smells great.

Use little but often

I’ve never used a product like this before, but it was easy to apply and didn’t take long. No mess either which I was a bit worried about. Followed the instructions and was left with fresh looking roots that didn’t go greasy as quickly as before. My hair is dry and frizzy, but with greasy roots so this is pretty much the ideal product for me as it treats the problem area without drying out the rest of my hair,

Ideal for an in between haircare routine

So at first I found this product helped give me clean smooth shiny hair and no build up on the scalp. However after a few attempts, I’m finding my scalp is way more greasier by 48 hours - more greasier than my previous hair products. Would probably use once every 3 months for my hair.

Amazing product, salon quality!

I absolutely love this producy and never has my hair felt cleaner! I used this product with a scalp massager and I am also lucky enough to have the shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner in this range and just wow! my hair felt as though I’d had it done at the salon and stays clean for much longer between washes! the smell of this particular range is one of my favourites too!

Product seems quite good so will keep using it for longer! It’s easy to use and apply and dries quite quickly. I think the more I keep using it I will get better at applying it. Would recommend from what I’ve seen of it so far.

This is a good root oiliness controlling treatment that is easy to apply by following instructions. After use my hair was feeling super clean and roots stayed fresh-looking for longer without getting greasy so quickly. This product has been a game-changer for me, finally providing a solution for my oily roots without compromising the rest of my hair. I'm hopeful that with continued use, it will only get better. The only downside is waiting time, - not often I can get an opportunity to keep it on for so long but on other hand it makes it feel like I am having a pampering session. Overall I like it and I would recommend it to my friends.

I have given it a 3 star as i havent seen a big difference when using it. But hair did felt softer and the scent of the product make the hair feel fresh. I did wash off very well no residue was felt after washing.

I have a sensitive scalp so try not to wash my hair daily . This is a leave on and wash off treatment. It definitely left my scalp feeling fresh and clean. My scalp stayed fresh for a few days and controlled any excess sebum

I had never used a product like this L’Oreal Elvive Hydro Pure 6% before.I followed the instructions which were clear enough to use.If I felt my roots were getting greasy even just a day after washing my hair, I applied the product and it definitely felt my scalp felt better : more cleansed.My hair felt fresher.

Cleansing serum for scalp pampering

I liked the idea of a pre-shampoo serum treatment. Occasionaly, my scalp feels a little itchy, and this serum had a cooling and pleasant effect, easy to shampoo after the recommended 15 mins, and left no residue. The end result was a fully cleansed scalp and I enjoyed the extra pampering.

I was really sceptical about using this, and how it would benefit my hair, as well as the faff of leaving it on for 15 minutes prior to washing my hair. However, I was pleasantly surprised, my hair was left feeling so soft and healthy and really felt clean - I swim a lot, so am conscious that my hair probably suffers with chlorine, but this has left it feeling lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Good product just not for me

Sadly this product is not for me ! I do suffer with oily roots and yes this product keeps the oil at bay but it made my hair so flat ! That said my hair and roots did feel amazing but just no bounce ! Love the smell easy to apply washes out easily hair felt moisturised but after 24 hours I hated the look !

My scalp felt cleansed and hydrated. It is a bit of a pain to remember doing it 15 minutes before I wash my hair, but the results was worth it. I could go extra 2 days before I needed to wash my hair again. It smells nice and it was easy to apply.

Pre Shampoo Scalp Serum

L'Oreal Elvive Pre Scalp Serum is used to remove excess oil and grease and to clear product build up previously used.
Applied to the scalp and rubbed in gently making sure all hair is covered and leave in for 15 minutes. The dosage is 6ml which is handily marked on side of the bottle.
After shampooing with Hydra Pure shampoo and Rehydrating conditioner my hair looked and felt beautifully clean without being stripped of it's natural oils.

Great scalp cleanser

I don’t like scalp scrubs as they always leave bits in your hair that are difficult to wash out so I was really interested to try this to see what it was like. It did leave my scalp feeling a lot cleaner without that weird residue you can scrape off with your nails. No bits of scrub left behind as it’s a liquid exfoliant. Brilliant!

I use this once weekly to remove any build ups as I use dry shampoo and different products on my hair but this one strips my hair and makes it so dry. I only apply it on the scalp but it still makes my hair dry. Of course it removes product build up but not for my hair.
