Usage

Always do a patch test 48 hours before use.

STEP 1 - Apply colour mixture first to your roots. Use applicator tip to help part your hair into small even sections. Then apply on lengths and spread all over your hair.

STEP 2 - Massage mixture all through your hair until fully saturated. Leave in for 5 minutes.

STEP 3 - Pour little warm water on your hair and massage gently. Rinse thoroughly until water runs clears.

Do not colour your hair if:
• you have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp
• you have ever experienced any reaction after colouring your hair
• you have experienced a reaction to a temporary “black henna” tattoo in the past
IGNORING AN ALLERGY CAN BE LIFE-THREATENING.
You must conduct an ALLERGY ALERT TEST 48 hours before each time you colour even if you have already used colouring products before.
So remember to buy the product 48 hours in advance. (Read and follow the instruction leaflet).
In case of any reaction or when in doubt consult a doctor before using any hair colour product.
“Developer” contains hydrogen peroxide

Every time I decide to bleach my hair with a highlight kit, it goes a pale yellow Colour and I do have an orange undertone that is stubborn to get out so I always end up at The hair dresser anyway. However, I took the plunge, highlighted my hair and risked using this product, I was nervous to even look in the mirror, but omg this is the best product I have bought for my hair, it has wiped those dark orange patches where I’ve gone over my dark roots with bleach, my hair looks creamy more than platinum but I’m all good with that, my hair has evened out, it looks natural and has calmed that yellow right done, I am so happy!

This turned the hair a grey/brown shade and the hair was an extremely light yellow. Very disappointing for the amount I had to pay.

Evened out hair colour after patchy bleach

I had bought this toner quite hesitantly after reading some of the reviews, yet was struggling to find a toner to fix my patchy bleached hair online. My hair is naturally an ashy blonde colour and I had used a home box bleach to lighten it which left me with patchy orange and yellow pieces. This toner worked a miracle at evening out the tone throughout my hair and although it did slightly cool it down to an ashy more than platinum colour, it is better than before. The roots and mid section of my hair are a light ashy blonde as desired, leaving similar results to the back of the box, yet it did pick up more on my ends which were almost white, leaving a more grey undertone. Overall I am satisfied with the product and followed instructions, however in the future I would have left the product for a shorter time on the ends of my hair and recommend this if you are in a similar hair situation before using the toner. There was enough product to cover my relatively long hair.

I used this only problem was, it went to dark on me,which unfortunately wasn't the result I wanted, saying that made my hair lovely and soft,wish I had only left on 3 mins and not 5.

Silver not platinum

I kept the product on for the allotted time and followed the instructions to a tee. My hair was cool toned blonde before I applied this, and it left my hair silver grey with a green tinge, not the white platinum that was advertised. Luckily I'm not someone who is hurt my the colour of my hair/sad when things go wrong, and luckily I liked the silver colour, but for people who are expecting white they're not going to get it and it's going to be a huge disappointment for them! It did begin to lift and lighten after around 4 washes.

Works pretty well

I used a little quantity for my eyebrows because they tend to go orange as I like to bleach them often. This product helped them look less orange. Not sure how long the big bottle will last as I am using little bit of it at a time but so far very good

The product I've been waiting for!

This is the produc I've been wishing for for 20 years!! I had a mess up with my roots, bleaching turned out yellow, this has happened to me so many times over the years, this product sorted it right out, first go! I am so happy that I had to review it, so that others with the same problem can use it! A must for peroxide blondes everywhere!!! Not harsh, only takes 5 mins and I look normal again, not like a scary clown!!!

Did not work

I bought this today with the impression it would turn my hair white. I have naturally light brown hair and bleached my hair before adding the toner. After the toner, my hair looked like it did before the bleach. I don’t know if I got a faulty kit, but I followed the directions and am not satisfied with the end result.

Hair went ashy

I did a test patch around 1 inch thick and left it on for 5 minutes and couldn't see a difference. When I did my whole head I very quickly applied within 5 minutes then left it on for another 5 and my hair went really ashy. It actually seems to have lifted after a few washes but I wanted to remove the brassiness from my balayage which it did do I guess but I didn't want the ash shade

First time useing the Preference le Blonding Acidic tone. I used Platinum Ice . Really easy to prepare once mixed apply to clean dry hair and leave for 5 minutes and wash off then apply the Reinforcing conditioner leaving for two minutes. Once dry my hair was such a lovely even colour all yellow tones had gone and my hair also felt so soft . Really love this product would definitely recommend

The roots and mid section of my hair are a light ashy blonde as desired, leaving similar results to the back of the box, yet it did pick up more on my ends which were almost white, leaving a more grey undertone. Overall I am satisfied with the product and followed instructions, however in the future I would have left the product for a shorter time on the ends of my hair and recommend this if you are in a similar hair situation before using the toner. There was enough product to cover my relatively long hair.

My hair was cool toned blonde before I applied this, and it left my hair silver grey with a green tinge, not the white platinum that was advertised. Luckily I'm not someone who is hurt my the colour of my hair/sad when things go wrong, and luckily I liked the silver colour, but for people who are expecting white they're not going to get it and it's going to be a huge disappointment for them! It did begin to lift and lighten after around 4 washes.

After the toner, my hair looked like it did before the bleach. I don’t know if I got a faulty kit, but I followed the directions and am not satisfied with the end result.

When I did my whole head I very quickly applied within 5 minutes then left it on for another 5 and my hair went really ashy. It actually seems to have lifted after a few washes but I wanted to remove the brassiness from my balayage which it did do I guess but I didn't want the ash shade

Really easy to prepare once mixed apply to clean dry hair and leave for 5 minutes and wash off then apply the Reinforcing conditioner leaving for two minutes. Once dry my hair was such a lovely even colour all yellow tones had gone and my hair also felt so soft . Really love this product would definitely recommend

It has made my hair go a light, dull, greyish brown colour. Nothing like the pic on the box. My hair feels really dry now too. This turned my light blonde hilightes hair a dull grey ashy colour, it was patchy and the ends are now straw like. Ope it fades quickly! Don't bother use a wash in like Jerome Russell's toners.

The smells is fine not strong and felt so smooth putting it on. But washing it off felt like I had chewing gum in my hair. Wether this was from the bleach or this however this is post bleaching so shouldn't matter. Anyway most of the colour is lovely definitely git rid of the yellow. I have short hair as I lost it last year. And had plenty! I left it on a directed but it's still got patches of yellow. For the price I'd expect it to be an even tone eso9as the yellow bleach was all even. I wouldn't buy this again incase it didn't work again however everyone's experience may be different. It's a beautiful colour more of a white ice however hate the patch bits. Iv now gone from worzle Gummidge too something else

After you bleach your hair, it becomes alkaline which can leave it looking lifeless and porous. The idea behind this acidic toner is that it restores the pH balance of your hair. The colourant is also supposed to get rid of orange and yellow tones and the conditioner improves the condition of your hair. I have to admit that my hair was quite a bit darker than the levels recommended. However, I still liked the result and think it helped it look less orange. Certainly the formula is very good and will make your bleached, straw-like tresses look a lot healthier. It would be great if L'Oreal would cater more to brunettes with lightened hair in the future.
