Usage

Step 1: VOLUMISE. Apply mascara with the straight mascara brush, brushing from root to tip, for up to 17x more volume.

This has nothing on the paradise primer and mascara. It didn’t really elevate my small lashes and it is very wet and messy. I prefer my mascara to just go into my lashes and not all over my eyelids. The primer side is also black

I adore this mascara - I love the two steps and the results are fantastic. Thicker, lifted lashes that look natural but better! Nice true black colour and I found it lasted really well without flaking

I have been using these primer based / double ended mascaras for many years now as they allow me to layer well and create thick lashes (spider eyes!) which help my eyes stand out. I have been using the blue and white one (waterproof) until now. I loved it, but found the white primer end to often show through layer two (black) on some lashes, so coverage wasn’t always great. I decided to try this because the primer wand is black too. I was a little reluctant to switch, as this is not a waterproof mascara ( to my knowledge). I have been pleasantly surprised and so happy I tried it. It is thick and does not smudge or run, like many of the non waterproof mascaras have from this range. I’ve purchased another 3 and would recommend to people who like to use thick / layering mascara. 5* product !

The best mascara I’ve had

Absolutely love this mascara is now become my number one go to in my Make Up makes the lashes appear longer and thicker without the need of any lash lift or tint. Definitely recommend this. I will be buying more.

Bought it as it had reviews and my favourite L'Oreal Flase lash super start was discontinued. My lashes are quite short and straight. Unfortunately lift is almost non existent. When using it it smudged on my eyelid. It is not a problem when I don't use eyeshadow, but when I did had to wipe down some of the eyeshadow. Also packaging is not sealed so I am not certain if it wasn't open by customers in the shop, so I not sure how long the mascara will keep its consistency

The biggest issue i had was during application i got mascara all over my lid, no matter how careful i was or the attention i paid. Fine if you have no eyeshadow and can clean up, but really annoying if you've spent time doing your other eye products. The other issues included even distribution of the product and some clumping together of lashes. I dont think the 2nd wand added any great curl to my lashes when used after wand 1. I think both wands add volume to a similar effect. Slight more curl if i just used wand 2 first, and found it less clumpy than wand 1. So overall, you can get some curl a good amount of volume, but can be slightly messy. If i had no other mascara available i can make it work, but wouldnt even make my top 10.

Firstly, I love the overall design of the mascara. I love that it is double ended with the intention of both volume and curl/lift. The wand shapes reflect the intention of both steps. It's easy to store and perfect for travel. The mascara applies really easily and doesn't clump your lashes together. I love how my lashes look after I apply this, they look so volumous and healthy. I've found that when I use this mascara I don't feel the need to apply lashes so I think this is perfect for someone who likes the idea of lashes but is worried about how to apply or which style would suit them best. At the end of the day I found that the mascara hadn't smudged or transfered to my lid which I find some mascaras do this. I definitely see it being great value for money and would make the perfect gift too!

The primer on its own gives a great coverage on its own and makes the lashes look fuller but the added fibers gives it a much dramatic look. I do prefer to have natural looking lashes so I wiped the ends so it gives a smooth finish otherwise my 1st attemp was a bit clumpy. I need to try the extra volume one now

The formula does not smudge, flake or transfer on me and I have very oily eyelids. The mascara comes with 2 brushes - 1 for volume and 2 for curl/lift. I really liked the formulas of both sides & they work great together leaving me with really good looking lashes. Overall I'm really happy with the results. The formulas do dry quickly so once you've applied side 1 you can't hang about too long before applying side 2 or it won't go on smoothly & will look clumpy. I made that mistake the first couple of times time, but once I'd got my timings right I had no more issues.

The volume and curl it gives is phenomenal. Definitely one to reach for if you want DRAMA in your lashes. If you like a softer, more natural look then this isn’t the one for you. I love it!

I used the first wand and it did make my lashes look quite long but I have gotten longer lashes with another mascara made my loreal beauty tubes. It doesn't transfer or smudge but it did flake a little throughout the day. Easy to remove with Cleanser. I would recommend this to people who like thick clumpy lashes

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lana83 from Good mascara Good mascara for this money. My lashes is long and strong. But with this mascara they looks great. Very long and thick. First step makes it long and each lash separated from each other. Second step gives volume and curling. Was surprised from result. It stays for all day without any dark marks under my eyes. And it was very easy to remove with normal usual eye make up remover.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mandie73w from Sadly disappointing I really like the red metallic finish of the sleek, stylish packaging and the wand designs as well as the intense black pigmentation of this mascara. The mascara is buildable, felt lightweight, left my lashes feeling soft, dried quickly and just as claimed, didn't smudge, flake or irritate my (sometimes) sensitive eyes. While the mascara certainly added a touch of length to my lashes, it failed to lift and curl as promised, nor did it provide much volume. I was also disappointed at how it clumped my lashes together, I had to work really hard in order achieve some semblance of separation. Sadly it's a no from me and I will be sticking to my ride or die Air Volume 30hr mascara I received this from Community x Seen for review purposes

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate from Perfect all in one The brush divides with still a good distance each side for a good hold to allow smooth application. One side gives a subtle day look and if you carry it in your bag and are heading straight out, a sweep of the fuller side gives extra depth and volume for a fuller look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nish from Good and does the job Great mascara for anyone looking for volume and lift. The two step mascara works really well and I definitely notice a lift in my lashes after using this. I'm not to keen on the two step system though as it seems a bit of a faff when you are in a rush. I also feel like I get better results with L'Oréal paradise mascara. I did like this mascara but I prefer other ones that are quicker to use for a busy mum.
