I have finally found a liquid foundation that is the perfect colour match. So glad you launch Linen 1.5N its lovely for everyday as I am pale but with a neutral undertone and a lot of paler foundations have pinky tones. Please do not discontinue this product or shade!

So I thought I'd give this a try after constantly seeing it advertised on TV and also hearing good things about it. Usually I use MAC or Bobbi Brown, but I wanted a nice light wearing foundation to wear in the day for work so I thought I'd give this a try! I'm shade 8.D/8.W - and it's hard enough as it is to find foundation for coloured skin this shade was actually ok but just the tiniest bit darker than what I usually use! It's a lot more runny to foundations I usually use, but feels nice to put on the skin. Long lasting effects not good, my skin kept getting greasy half way into the day & I love a matte finish on my skin! Also I've noticed it's glittery and I find that so annoying I didn't realise until I first put it on my face and then when shining a light on the bottle I then seen! I would only use this as a last resort!. I've now gone back to my original foundations, which makes me think stick to would you know, and even then I don't think I'd use true match again it'll just be left sitting there!. Personally I don't think it's a good foundation for coloured skin! But the true match liquid concealer on the other hand, very good product! Maybe this just isn't suited to my skin, which is a shame!.

Best foundation ever!

I’ve wrote a review before but I just need to tell you all how incredible this foundation really is, lightweight but so builadable and it feels like silk on the skin! I’ve tried different colours and neural/ cool tones both beautiful! Would like to try the warm tone too!

Really love the texture, easy to apply and matches perfectly to my skin tone but WHY does it have shimmer in it? Really disappointed there was no mention of shimmer before I purchased, the tester didn't have shimmer in it.

I really like this foundation, it goes well on my 40 something skin, however, I just cannot push myself to buy Loreal anymore until they become Leaping Bunny certified, hence the average score! I just hate the thought of supporting animal testing in anyway, whether testing directly or through a 3rd party or selling products to China who we know full well still test their products on animals. Come on Loreal, take the steps to become 'officially' cruelty free!

Beautiful and perfect shade! Stays on all day!

I started using LOreal True Match 5W about eight months ago and I love it! I am Spanish with Asian descent, so my skin has a little yellow undertone and its hard to get a perfect color, but True Match has soooo many shades that I was able to find the perfect one! I used to mix 2 to 3 different shades of Physicians Formula to find a good color, but now I only have to use one shade of True Match! I wear it to the office every day and it stays on all day. It goes on smoothly and covers my small freckles with a little extra foundation around that area. I am VERY pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

Perfect colour, flawless natural looking skin

Bought this a few days ago after some research online - very fair skin and ordered (0.5c). Perfect match, made my skin look like a china doll (in a good way!) lightweight and not cakey. Quite runny but I liked that, started at the T-zone and used a combination of fingers, brush and sponge to blend outwards. I have some slightly flakey dry areas as well as a few blemishes but this foundation really concealed them well. I cleansed, lightly exfoliated, moisturised, jojoba oil and sunscreened beforehand. No pilling - really pleased with the product !!

Despite the comments about this product being watery I decided to take the plunge because I use a lot of L’Oreal moisturisers. I used a damp makeup sponge, and it is watery, but the results are amazing. I built it up a little by letting the first application dry. I am 67 years old, so I was really happy when my 56 year old husband of 32 years said that he couldn’t tell that I was wearing makeup, but that I looked 10 years younger. I am so pleased with this product.

Bought this yesterday after reading some comments on it. Payed a lot more than it’s advertised at. Tried it this morning and pressed the top and just a watery mess came out. Luckily I managed to keep it off my clothes. I shook the bottle hoping it was all it needed but no.. still watery. Even after being in the fridge it’s still the same. I do not recommend this and I’ve wasted my money when it could have gone to better use.

Good product, hate the bottle

I love the actual foundation and would buy again. Its very lightweight but gives great smooth coverage. What I hate is the bottle and the pipette, I've lost count of the number of times it's dripped onto my top or the dressing table, I don't really know what it is supposed to be for. I'll buy again if it comes in a tube.

I bought this a month ago after watching the videos and reviews all around however it caused breakouts. I then started using it twice a week instead of regularly but still had the same issues. I won't recommend it to anybody. I don't know if I can return this product otherwise I would definitely do that.

I have been trying for years to find a foundation that suits my pale skin without completely washing me out and can still cover my blemishes. I felt like it was never going to happen but then I tried this incredible foundation! It's truly lightweight; it looks and feels natural; it does not crease and its such good value!!

slightly disappointed

i bought this a week ago after seeing a lot of hype on social media, recommending the product for clean makeup looks (which is right up my alley). the shade matched my tone well and feels light on the skin (though it is buildable) but i found that it started to flake on my chin and forehead. i wish the dropper could hold more product, but other than that i adored the skin like finish and the buildable formula

Non cakey natural looking foundation

Lovely foundation for medium coverage, could be better if transfer resistant for longer staying power. Also a higher spf would be better. This is my repeat buy foundation, even compared to premium brands as this doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the skin, nice natural look.

Good medium coverage foundation

This is a good medium coverage foundation, this colour was too light for me so i mixed with Golden Chestnut during the winter months for a slightly lighter colour foundation. Good texture when i apply with a buffing brush. Could be much more desirable if it was transfer resistant.

Repeated skin compliments

I’ve used this for years and it never fails; I get constant compliments on my skin from strangers who don’t believe I have foundation on. I’m sure it’s taken care of my skin, too, as I have very few lines in my 50’s…I now use a second (darker) shade as a bronzer alongside my main one and it works so much better than expensive bronzer fluids or powders - so simple! I just wish I could recycle the packaging..

Dries out my skin even after moisturizing

The shade matches beautifully and gives good coverage, but I have dry skin and I apply this after serum/moisturizer/sunscreen. Weirdly, this dries me out and looks very dry on the skin, especially around some of the deeper lines on my forehead. It's not moisturizing at all.

Golden honey foundation

The golden honey foundation is perfect for me as i have a medium skin tone. Tbe foundation is light upon the skin and when applied to the face it was easy to blend and gave me a smooth canvas. What i liked about the foundation is that it never left any greasy residue and it gave me a luxuriously matte finish. I love the overall foundation and would definitely buy it again.

Doesn’t break you out!

Excellent foundation, gives a medium to full coverage depending on how much you build it up. Feels light on my skin and has not irritated or flared my acne so it’s a win! Also I’m 38 and starting to see the signs of ageing, this foundation does not sit in those fine lines around my eyes and if anything it helps to diffuse them as the foundation has a satin like finish.

Very cakey

I bought this recently as I wanted a light weight foundation for the day. I initially bought a darker shade, the same shade as my powder, however this made me bright orange. I followed the colour advice and purchased 2R. The colour matches very well, however the product is extremely cakey. I applied 1 pump to my face with my fingers and a blender, and had it settle in dry patches all over. I read some reviews that said to use a brush, tried this method and it is even worse. I've tried different primers and still the same result. I'm not sure of it's my skin or the product, but it's settles dry and greasy at the same time.

Lovely foundation

I have just recently purchased this foundation in shade 1.5N Linen and I love it! It applied seamlessly and I’d say it is a light to medium coverage. It lasted well throughout the day; only turning slightly greasy on my nose, which is my problematic area, so pretty standard for a liquid foundation. I’m 34 and have combination skin, fine lines and this didn’t cling to my dryer areas or sink into my fine lines. I am impressed! I normally buy higher end foundations but I can safely say this is my new go to foundation.

I used this product very happily for several years but the new formula makes my skin red and blotchy, so an allergic reaction has occurred, which is sad, as I now have to hunt around for a new suitable foundation.

Allergy to new formula.

I'd used the old formula of true match for about 2 years, I really loved it. However, the new formula has caused a rash on my face, my skin is now hypersensitive and struggles to tolerate even my normal skincare. I appreciate cosmetics have to be improved, but changing formulas doesn't help people with sensitive skin.

This foundation is one of the best I have used, goes on very smoothly, very good coverage with out being cakey. Choice of shades is excellent, but this one Beige, is a good all round shade.I have a tendency to a dry skin, and I find this lasts a day. Very happy with this product.

I am 61 and am picky about foundation. This has a creamy soft texture which glides over my under eye and does not cause skin to pucker. It hides imperfections without being claggy. This is a light foundation with maximum effect

This is a great everyday foundation. It's not expensive, so you can use it on a daily basis, and it looks great. Super natural look and they have lots of colours to make sure you choose the right one. I apply using my fingers as I don't like using brushes, but the results are always really natural, with glowing skin :)

Beautiful shade range, and my true match has been found. This looks amazing in daylight and under artificial light and blends with ease. Coverage is middling but I like that and it covers all blemishes while being non-comedogenic. It doesn't settle into my eyelids or the sides of my nose and the texture is liquid but not runny. Can't believe the price as it's far surpassed some of my other foundations which were far steeper. It moisturises my skin while maintaing it's oil level and most importantly it's breathable and doesn't feel like I'm wearing a layer of makeup ( even though I am ).

I’m really enjoying this foundation. The colour match is great for me and looks good on my skin. It’s a fairly thin consistency so blends easily and also makes it easy to build from a medium to fuller coverage. It lasts well without slipping so overall I’m impressed.

A lovely foundation, a little drying to be honest. Covered really well without feeling 'cakey' but by the end of the day my skin felt a little dry.

I’ve tried different colours and neural/ cool tones both beautiful! Would like to try the warm tone too!

I really like this foundation, it goes well on my 40 something skin, however, I just cannot push myself to buy Loreal anymore until they become Leaping Bunny certified, hence the average score! I just hate the thought of supporting animal testing in anyway, whether testing directly or through a 3rd party or selling products to China who we know full well still test their products on animals. Come on Loreal, take the steps to become 'officially' cruelty free!

I am Spanish with Asian descent, so my skin has a little yellow undertone and its hard to get a perfect color, but True Match has soooo many shades that I was able to find the perfect one! I used to mix 2 to 3 different shades of Physicians Formula to find a good color, but now I only have to use one shade of True Match! I wear it to the office every day and it stays on all day. It goes on smoothly and covers my small freckles with a little extra foundation around that area. I am VERY pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

Perfect match, made my skin look like a china doll (in a good way!) lightweight and not cakey. Quite runny but I liked that, started at the T-zone and used a combination of fingers, brush and sponge to blend outwards. I have some slightly flakey dry areas as well as a few blemishes but this foundation really concealed them well. I cleansed, lightly exfoliated, moisturised, jojoba oil and sunscreened beforehand. No pilling - really pleased with the product !!

I used a damp makeup sponge, and it is watery, but the results are amazing. I built it up a little by letting the first application dry. I am 67 years old, so I was really happy when my 56 year old husband of 32 years said that he couldn’t tell that I was wearing makeup, but that I looked 10 years younger. I am so pleased with this product.

Tried it this morning and pressed the top and just a watery mess came out. Luckily I managed to keep it off my clothes. I shook the bottle hoping it was all it needed but no.. still watery. Even after being in the fridge it’s still the same. I do not recommend this and I’ve wasted my money when it could have gone to better use.

What I hate is the bottle and the pipette, I've lost count of the number of times it's dripped onto my top or the dressing table, I don't really know what it is supposed to be for. I'll buy again if it comes in a tube.

I then started using it twice a week instead of regularly but still had the same issues. I won't recommend it to anybody. I don't know if I can return this product otherwise I would definitely do that.

Good texture when i apply with a buffing brush. Could be much more desirable if it was transfer resistant.

I’m sure it’s taken care of my skin, too, as I have very few lines in my 50’s…I now use a second (darker) shade as a bronzer alongside my main one and it works so much better than expensive bronzer fluids or powders - so simple! I just wish I could recycle the packaging..

Weirdly, this dries me out and looks very dry on the skin, especially around some of the deeper lines on my forehead. It's not moisturizing at all.

Tbe foundation is light upon the skin and when applied to the face it was easy to blend and gave me a smooth canvas. What i liked about the foundation is that it never left any greasy residue and it gave me a luxuriously matte finish. I love the overall foundation and would definitely buy it again.

Feels light on my skin and has not irritated or flared my acne so it’s a win! Also I’m 38 and starting to see the signs of ageing, this foundation does not sit in those fine lines around my eyes and if anything it helps to diffuse them as the foundation has a satin like finish.

I initially bought a darker shade, the same shade as my powder, however this made me bright orange. I followed the colour advice and purchased 2R. The colour matches very well, however the product is extremely cakey. I applied 1 pump to my face with my fingers and a blender, and had it settle in dry patches all over. I read some reviews that said to use a brush, tried this method and it is even worse. I've tried different primers and still the same result. I'm not sure of it's my skin or the product, but it's settles dry and greasy at the same time.

It lasted well throughout the day; only turning slightly greasy on my nose, which is my problematic area, so pretty standard for a liquid foundation. I’m 34 and have combination skin, fine lines and this didn’t cling to my dryer areas or sink into my fine lines. I am impressed! I normally buy higher end foundations but I can safely say this is my new go to foundation.

However, the new formula has caused a rash on my face, my skin is now hypersensitive and struggles to tolerate even my normal skincare. I appreciate cosmetics have to be improved, but changing formulas doesn't help people with sensitive skin.

Choice of shades is excellent, but this one Beige, is a good all round shade.I have a tendency to a dry skin, and I find this lasts a day. Very happy with this product.

Super natural look and they have lots of colours to make sure you choose the right one. I apply using my fingers as I don't like using brushes, but the results are always really natural, with glowing skin :)

Skincare is essential in everyday life and the fact that this foundation is infused with hyaluronic acid which helps boost the skin moisture for a fresher feels. For the price I think it is an affordable foundation and it is worth a go if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, however personally for me I will not be buying this foundation as it did not last on my skin for as long as I needed it too.

The shade was a little too dark but I can use it in summer or lighten with a different foundation. It spreads very well but I have found that it doesn't last too long on my combination skin, which is why I probablyw would not buy.

I do like the creamy, lotion texture of this foundation which is very easy to work with and apply onto the skin whether using a brush or sponge. I noticed that this foundation has some very fine gold particles running through the foundation in the bottle. This shade 5.5.D/5.5.W has less gold particles than 6.D/6.W and they appear to look finer inside the bottle. Once the foundation is applied to the the skin no gold sheen is there so don't worry about any particles settling into pores or fine lines. This foundation has a medium coverage and feels light on the skin so is ideal if you don't want something too heavy. The hyaluronic acid seemed to plump up my skin very subtly so that pores and texture appeared less pronounced but it didn't leave me looking a decade younger. I set with powder and it lasted well but it did settle a little near my under-eye area after a few hours. Overall a good product at a reasonable price.

I love how soft and moisturised my skin feels, very easy to apply. I would definitely recommend. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is that, it is not a perfect shade, ir is slightly too dark but will be perfect on holiday. This is ny fault and I am determined to find the perfect match and give a full 5 stars!

It provides really good coverage yet still allows my skin to “breathe” (If you know what I mean?!). A lot more cost effective than my current brand so reckon I might be switching to this as my go-to for a great daytime foundation. Thanks L’Oreal! :-)

I found this shade matched my own skin shade pretty well, which is great. The foundation lasted all day without cracking or drying out my skin, nor did it sit in any fine lines, which is a plus! Also, I love the fact that it has SPF in it, too. Will definitely be buying more!
