Usage
Remove the security tab and spray hair with Elnett in short bursts from about 30cm away. In case of clogging, rinse nozzle under warm water.

Not fragrance free!

I’ve been using this hairspray for years and always loved it—until now. The new scent is extremely strong and has aggravated my very sensitive scalp. Unfortunately, I can no longer use it, which is really disappointing after relying on this product for so long. Please take the time to read the reviews—there are many other loyal customers expressing the same concerns. It’s frustrating to see a trusted product change for the worse.

Flexible hold hairspray used to be perfume free, now smells awful and the slightest amount is overpowering and stays in the room so I have to open the windows to air the room. Why change a good thing? *Awful* L'Oreal - what were you thinking? I am switching after decades of buying this product.

The new fragrance of this is TOO STRONG

I love this product but I'm afraid the new scent is way too strong - overpowering. It gets in your throat and totally overpowers any perfume or fragrance you want to wear. Such a shame. No one wants to smell of hairspray when they already choose a perfume. Please go back to the more subtle fragrance!!

Why have you added scent to this great product

Description is totally misleading

I have been using this spray for years and love the flexible hold, shine and the ease with which it brushes out. However this new version is worded than a cheap hairspray.
In Elnetts description it says "Gives natural hair movement and shine with no stiffness, stickiness or visible residue.
Disappears at the stroke of a brush leaving hair feeling clean and ready to restyle without needing to wash it."
Surely this should be looked at under Trade Descriptions!

New Fragrance

I have used this hairspray for many years but just bought one with the "New Fragrence". I will not be buying this product again. The scent is unpleasant and overly strong. Sadly I now have to look for a new product to replace this.

I echo all the other recent comments on this hairspray. I've been using for years and year, loved the absence of scent. New formulation is disgusting. Why has this been changed. It's an inexplicable decision - madness! Feedback: You are letting down millions of loyal customers! Please please please go back to the original formulation.

I have used this excellent spray since it appeared. There was nothing wrong with the scent, so WHY change it? The “new fragrance” is awful, just screams cheap and nasty.

The formula is this hairspray must have been changed. After use my hair feels sticky & brittle - it doesn’t brush out as previous version did - and it now has the most awful perfume. I had purchased the original for many years as it was brilliant but will now have to find a suitable replacement. Why change something so good?

I too felt the need to add my disgust & disappointment in the New Fragrance recently introduced. Why why???!
it’s just awful like wet dog overlayed with cheap 1970s perfume. I had to wash it out the same evening as the ‘scent’ lingered all day.
Gutted that I have to start searching for a replacement product after all these years of using this once perfect product.
No longer deserves even one star as not fit for purpose.

Awful fragrance!

I have used this product for many years. I recently started a new can & noticed an awful sweet smell like cheap perfume. I didnt immediately link it to the product but it bothered me enough to try to locate the source. I wondered if it might be a new room diffuser. Eventually I realised it was the 'new fragrance'. I disliked enough to purchase a different product (much more expensive) & despite only a few uses will be throwing away the large can of Elnett. After using it for over 20 years I simply cannot walk around all day smelling like that. Very very disappointed

So disappointing Elnett Flexible hairspray has been replaced with this sub-standard rehash!
It doesn’t brush out as the original did but leaves my hair sticky & brittle … and the new perfume is ghastly.
L’Oreal, you’ve lost another long term customer, though clearly you don’t care!

Why oh why have you changed a winning product. I’ve used Ellnet flexible hold for a number of years and absolutely loved it. Now it’s changed and certainly not for the better. The new fragrance is cheap smelling and sickly cloying. The formula no longer brushes away at the end of the day leaving my hair dry and sticky . Shampooing is the only day to get rid of it !. Please rethink this change. I’m now looking for another product. This is so unnecessary and totally annoying

Doesnt work anymore

I have recently started using the new fragrace version of this. I quite like the smell, sort of salted caramel. HOWEVER the hold of the hairspray has gone completely down hill. I have very flyaway hair and the old formula used to hold everything in place all day, through wind & rain. This new formula does not work. By the end of the day my hair is falling back out of place. PLEASE change it back!

I have been using this for at least 10 years and used it specifically as it had hardly any smell unlike the gold bottle. Why oh why have you given it a new fragrance? It smells like the gold bottle and now lingers on my hair all day and in my bedroom!! Do the right thing and listen to your consumers and change it back please. It is a very expensive hairspray which I have never minded paying but won’t continue paying £7.50 per can to smell like this all day!!

Don't like the New Fragrance

I've been using this product for many years, even decades, and have loved the fact that it had a delicate perfume which was undetectable throughout the day,..... so it came as a huge shock when I realised you had changed the fragrance!
This is not a good move!! I don't like the new fragrance and I can't get away from it as it lingers all day.
Please, please revert back to the old fragrance otherwise I'll need to find a different product.

This hairspray used to be the best but not this new disaster.
It no longer ‘disappears at the stroke of a brush’ - instead leaving my hair sticky & brittle, which only a fresh shampooing will remove… AND …. the new fragrance is horribly choking!

I don’t like hairspray! However, L’Oreal Flexible Hold &Shine I have used ever since it came to the market some years ago. It is perfume free so it doesn’t mask your perfume, it isn’t sticky, it doesn’t leave your hair stiff and it just completely brushes out at the end of the day! Just a light spray is all that is required to do the job leaving your hair looking natural. Love it.
