Bad coverage

The applicator is good, the coverage is bad, my greys are still coming through which is not what you want, I even left it on for 15min instead of 10min to ensure that wouldn't happen. So not impressed.

I’ve just used this product this morning. I am a huge fan if the spray, But thought I would give this temporary dye an go. The leaflet comes with a warning, and it’s not big or bold enough to warn you what may happen If you don’t remove the tip of the bottle before shaking. Yes the instructions tell you it may ‘burst’. And it did, spraying droplets all over my table which have now turned dark brown/black. My own fault for not reading the instructions properly first. However the product itself is useless. I applied it at my temples and hairline generously and left it for the required 10 minutes. It’s hardly made any difference at all. I definitely will never buy this product again. I was hoping it would keep me going for a few weeks until I had my hair roots dyed “properly”.

I bought this to use literally just on my temple area. I have natural dark brown hair I haven’t much gray at all but wanted to have a go just on the sides. This hasn’t worked for me it hasn’t covered the gray maybe disguised it slightly but you can still see gray hair, what it has done though is leave the area I’ve touched up a different colour to my hair it’s more a warm light brown tinge which am not impressed with. I would rather see the grays won’t be using and touch ups again.

Covers Grey's well

I have to say I'm really impressed with this. I left it on for exactly 10 minutes and it turned out perfect. It even covered my Grey's well which are very stubborn. The amount was just right for the top half of my head and hairline. I think it could be cheaper but I can't complain about the quality and it's saved me so much time and energy as I'm a full time carer.

So easy to use

This was just so easy to use. A quick mix and application with a great little brush, ten minutes later and it’s ready to wash out. No mess and no fuss and my grey hairs are covered. I will definitely be buying this product again.

Didn’t cover the greys very well. I usually use the full L’Oréal dye kits and they’re much better than this one. What it did cover has faded within 2 washes. Total waste of money!!

Great for root coverage. Just spray at the roots, which is really easy to apply with the sprayer. Looks natural and not itchy or sticky like some other products can be. Easily blends into your natural hair to give good even coverage.

I have a mixture of blondes and browns with a darker root so it was a bit tricky to apply and not to get it on my blondes. It would help if you had someone else to help. For the price, I could have had roots professionally done for a little bit more, so would only recommend this if you can’t get to the hair dresser.

Money saving root cover

A great solution between salon visits. This covers up grey roots in between appointment. Colour was a good match for me and covered the few greys I have meaning I can go a bit longer between salon appointments. Easy to apply with the comb like applicator and not at all messy.

Easy to use applicator. Nice consistency which allowed good coverage of my greys. This is a great product both in colour and for use in between full re colouring. It blended well and fully covered my roots/grey hair.

I love this retouch its so easy to apply, totally mess free. 100% of my greys are covered and blends in well with my hair colour. I love how it lasts up to 4 weeks. Its great that it comes with two applicator tips for soft or precision.

The box includes a nozzle and brush applicator to apply the dye. It's 27ml of dye so probably wouldn't cover a whole scalp of grown out roots but it's great and precise at covering up those visible sections of roots or grey hair you might have. Bit pricey when you can get a whole head hair dye for less though.

Brilliant little product. Super easy to use and gets to the roots of your hair fantastically. Only been applied for a couple of days so can’t really comment on its lasting effects but being a L’Oréal product I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

Quick and easy root touch-up kit, great results

Once the allergy test is successful this is a quick and easy way to touch up your roots. I used the brush applicator to cover all the roots and the more accurate tip for around the temples and other stray bits. Waiting time is only about 10 minutes as opposed to 30-35 for a full colour. No horrible smells, colour blended in nicely, There was plenty of the mixture so I didn't feel I needed to spread it thinly. Very pleased.

This is great for a quick fix between a full re-colour, and even better that it only takes 10 minutes and lasts up to 4 weeks! It’s really easy to use and comes with 2 applicators: a brush and a precision tip so you can target the areas that need doing. The colour blended well with my own, and covered the greys in my roots.

Easy to apply

Touching up hair dye can sometimes be a difficult, especially if it manages to stain the scalp. However I must say that this was really easy to use and did leave any staining on the scalp, which made I look really natural. The colour was also a really good match.

I found this a struggle perhaps as first time user, but I guess like any hair product continued use gets better results I’d get used to the brush so Not judging too hard. I have thick hair and this was great size for small area I would probably buy more to use to ensure full coverage don’t wanna miss any. I think if I dyed my hair then chose same colour for this as a touch up, it would last so more longer which is ideal. Looks great, it is magic.

Root concealer

This root concealer is great, I like that it's permanent as opposed to the other ones I've tried that are powdery and come off in your hands if you itch or touch your hair. I found the product really easy to apply and the colour was pretty similar to my length so it blended in really well

Unique brush application

I’ve tried the other temporary root cover spray before, and was expecting this one to be of a similar format. I was surprised to find this is in fact a more traditional style of hair dye. What did impress me was the applicator. This comes with a unique (to me) brush applicator, to really get into your roots. It looks like the brush might be able to be reused, and I will certainly try to reuse it when I use my usual L’Oréal hair colourant. I’m not sure this product is worth the money, unless of course you were to use a new brush applicator each time.

This needs to be retouched

I was really excited to try this product, but on delivery I saw that it contains ammonia. When using previous hair colouring products with ammonia it always dried out and damaged my hair, so I was unable to use this. Please L'Oreal can you issue an ammonia-free version? I am sure that loads of women are interested in using that!

Very Natural!

I haven’t used the dye long enough yet to see how it fades and wears, especially on my few greys that I do have. It’s actually really natural, I probably should have gone with a shade lighter, but nonetheless it looks as though it could be my natural hair colour.
