This is my favourite root touch up. Unlike other dark browns, it doesn’t get too dark and therefore obvious that I’ve touched up. My hair is quite porous but this blends into my natural colour perfectly. Quick and easy to use. Quite strong but it’s worth that small inconvenience.

Allergic reaction to Product

Developed a bad reaction. Started with itchy eyes, then itchy forehead, scalp, face with skin feeling dry, sore and burning at times! Never had a hair dye reaction before! It is now 10 days since the application and no better despite daily anti histamines, hydrocortisone creams and eye drops and ointments! Be warned. It is really negatively affecting my life!

This allows me to extend the time between colouring my hair, they say you can’t put a price on beauty but let’s be real, we’re in a cost of living crisis! It smells pretty decent for dye and is the perfect little hack to buy me a little time and save a little money.

This is fantastic for touching up roots with it's new comb style applicator, there is also a second applicator that comes with it if you want to use rhat instead. It is quick and very precise to use and blends it perfectly with my hair colour, just what you need to fix those grey roots in between hair colouring. Not messy to use at all, so easy to use!

It was so easy to retouch the root with this magic retouch. Its not a waste of product as the normal hair colour product, if you want to retouch the root only you always ended throwing half of the product. No mess and it did cover the greys, have wash my hair 4 times already and the colour seem still good.

good coverage of grey - colour pretty close to tin

Good spray coverage but if highlighted hair may be a bit too dark for all hair colours. Does feel quite stiff on spray but when brushed feels a little lighter on feel with fingers. Covers well but does not blend into highlights

Absolutely fantastic for fixing those roots. Easy to apply using a choice of the two applicators. Just brush the colour on where it's needed and it only has a quick 10 minute developing time so it's just perfect!

I absolutely loved this product! I always use the spray version of this to cover my grey roots when they start to show and love that one but didn’t realise they did a permanent version! I was very excited to give this one a try and see how it compared and I was not disappointed! It’s super easy to use and literally took 5 mins to apply - I used the brush applicator and it was really easy to target the areas I wanted and brush it lightly through. Once it was all applied I just had to wait 10 minutes and then rinse it out and shampoo and condition as usual - couldn’t be simpler! I loved how quick and easy this was to use and it’s absolutely perfect for when you need to dye your hair but don’t have much time as it can be applied and finished in under 20 minutes! I also love the fact this gives you 100% grey coverage too as that’s my main concern. Overall really really happy with this and will most definitely be purchasing again and again!

Great fix for targeting the dreaded grey roots

I like the convenience of this retouch colour. The applicator really targets the grey roots that never seem to hide for long, unless I blast with a full dye colour. But this retouch product did the trick at the roots and gives the rest of my hair a breather until I want a new shade. It also blended seamlessly with my hair colour too. As a quick fix for roots, it lasts a few weeks, and saves time too.

What a life changer, I was finding I needed to colour my hair nearly every 4 weeks. But now I have found this that will definitely change. This is so easy to use, the precise applicator makes it simple and effective and puts just enough product on my roots. The colur match works well and now means I can stretch the recolour another few weeks. I don't know how I managed without it!!

Great product, works like a hair dye but for roots only. Applicator worked fined for me and the process was straightforward. I have short thin hair so this does not seem like such a waste of a product. I cannot comment on longevity of the colour yet

Easy to Use Root Concealer

Loreal Magic Retouch is the perfect solution for when I just can't be bothered to colour my entire head of hair and when I don't want to have to wait half an hour doing nothing, just waiting for the colour to set! It's really easy to use. You just apply it for ten minutes and then rinse out. I think the best bit is being able to rinse it out as previous concealers I have used have been the spray-on type, which tends to be sticky, and always makes me worried that it will run in the rain!
I also like the targeted application with the Soft Brush Tip or Precision Tip which is included. It's less messy.
All in all, a very handy product!
