Bought L’Oreal 601 lip stain serum, very disappointed. Definitely no stain to lips, they did feel soft but the colour disappeared as soon as I drank a glass of water. Would not recommend this lip stain, does not do what it says … stain !

Does not work as a lip stain

I'm disappointed that this is advertised as a lip stain as it does not work as a lip stain. I have tried to return at Superdrug but they refused and asked me to contact Loreal. I know that legally they were required to issue a refund but I didn't want to argue. Please contact me regarding a refund.

What the Koreans get right that the French (Loreal) developers did not, is the oxidation of the stain on the lips. Usually stains either go reddish, or a raspberry colour, and with Korean tints, the gloss is maintained for a bit. These tint oxidise immediately on the lips and they all turn a shade of red. If you buy one, you’ve bought them all. This is like those pH colour changing lip stains that all stain to the same colour. Quite disappointed. Not very good, and the staining is patchy.

However it “dries down” to a much deeper red tone and doesn’t match the worth it shade. The stain that is left isn’t very visible at all and will be gone in 2 hours max. Saying that, it does feel nice on the lips.

I really loved this colour. The applicator meant it was easy to put on. It dried really quickly and really stayed put. It didn’t feel sticky like some that I have tried. I tried it before going out for a meal and it was still on at the end. My lips also felt really hydrated and didn’t dry out at all.

Very lightweight

The applicator makes this really easy to apply and get a precise line. The tint itself is lightweight and applies very smoothly. I like to apply it for a more natural look when I don’t want a full lipstick and will be more longer lasting than a gloss. The shade I got was slightly to dark for my liking but I dab some of the excess of and it looks great.

This lip stain just glides on and it stays on. I love the shape of the applicator, it makes it really easy to apply. It is really moisturising, leaves your lips looking and feeling fab. This shade is also just gorgeous!

Hydrating lip stain

This lip stain is super hydrating and not drying like other lip stain formulas. The applicator makes it easy to apply precisely and the colour payoff is good. It lasts fairly well although I’ve not put it to the test for longer than a few hours.

The shape of the brush makes this lip stain so easy to apply even without a mirror. The texture is nourishing and the colour lasts for a long time, which on my lips is often not the case. The size is a good compact size and the shade suits all skin types.

This Hyaluron Tint Lip Stain is so good! It glides on beautifully with the applicator and doesn’t feel sticky when applied. It lasts well for a stain but also is a nightmare to remove which is a huge bonus for me!

Gorgeous colour

What can I say this is an absolutely stunning colour. I am really loving lip stains at the moment and I chose the colour 217 Smokey mauve. My lips did feel very nourished and hydrated however after a few moments it did get a little bit more dry and unfortunately did not last long at all so I was having to reapply the product quite often. However the colour was absolutely stunning so I was wanting to reapply it

Great colour / shine; no staying power

This ‘lip stain’ has great colour and shine but, unfortunately, no staying power. As it’s called a ‘stain’, I thought it would impart a colour that would remain on the lips. Also that it would have moisturising properties. Unfortunately, it does neither. Quite disappointing really.

It is super comfortable and flattering (doesn’t sit in the fine lines of the lip). I really like the colour, it looks like my natural colour but better. Lasts really well, will be buying more colours.

Lovely tint

This is a lovely tint to use. I found it really hydrating on my dry lips and the colour is a lovely shade. It is long lasting and stays put after leaving a couple of minutes to sink in. The only issue is the sponge applicator. It is quite lager and doesn’t allow for precise application.

Long lasting without being drying.

L’oreal’s hyaluronic lip tint/stain is a brilliant addition to your make-up routine.
The product itself is quite runny when its first applied but then dries down and stains your lips giving you a long lasting pop of colour.
Its not drying in anyway and I can still ‘rub my lips together’ a good while after applying.
Highly recommend and can’t wait to try the other colours.

I love this. The applicator is a lovely shape and makes it extremely easy to apply. The lip stain didn't dry my lips out like other brands have. Even after a few hours after eating and drinking, my lips were still stained. It removes easily with make up remover.

Worth it even with a couple of flaws

Perfect to wear everyday in this shade. Super natural but looks amazing.
This is a little sticky to start with but worth it.
I found if my lips were not super soft it did stain with gaps so much needed hydrated lips for this.

This is a lovely lip stain, beautiful colour, it doesnt last as long as i would like and is a litle bit sticky but i still like it and would keep in the makeup bag! The tube in frosted glass is beautiful too!

Live this shade

This is a gorgeous colour that is perfect for everyday wear. The tint feels hydrating and super lightweight on the lips. It starts off looking like a gloss and then sets down as a stain. I like to wear it as a gloss and then once the gloss wears away, I know I'm left with lovely lip stain.

Lip tint stain

I was interested to try this lip tint/stain however I ended up being a little disappointed with it. I think this was ok as a lip gloss however I don’t think it had any lasting tint or stain to it. I also felt it had rather a strange taste.

Lovely colour that dries to a natural looking tint

I was really impressed with the packaging of this product, it is sleek and feels good quality. The lip tint seems quite a thin texture when it goes on, but applies easily, and dries quickly to leave a lovely colour that lasts pretty well without drying out my lips. I would definitely look at buying other shades.

What a fantastic lip stain and it is so long lasting too
My lips feel hydrated whilst using this and does not give that dried out feeling.
The colour is a bit dark to start with but tones down and looks amazing, without the neer to reapply.

This is a really great lip stain - it applies nicely, doesn’t dry down too quickly, and is definitely not drying! The colour wears really nicely over a few hours, and fades evenly. I’d definitely recommend it!

A retro shade.

Received this in a creamy mauve shade. Delighted with it. Tactile packaging, good size doe-foot applicator. Applies like a creamy gloss. I left it to dissipate naturally ie didn’t wipe it off. The stain is deep and long lasting, if a little drying. On perfectly smooth, blemish free lips, it’d look amazing.

Felt a little gloopy when first putting this lip stain on my lips but settled after using the applicatorand my lips did look great, and felt soft after using it. The colour stayed on for a reasonable amount of time. I just didn't like the taste of this product, everything else was good

I am not sure if I did not apply this properly but I found this to be quite drying and did not moisturise. It was also difficult to remove. The colour was not as rich as I hoped for but could be due to the colour choice

Absolutely love this lip tint! It’s really lovely to apply and leaves a great colour on your lips which lasts ages! The colour is quite matt so I’ve been applying a clear gloss on top to give it a bit of shine and it’s been working perfectly! Even after my gloss has worn away I know my colour will still be there for ages so just need to reapply my clear gloss and I’m good to go again! highly recommend!

I’ve been using the Hyaluron Tint Lip Stain in Smokey Mauve and I absolutely love the colour — it’s such a pretty, wearable shade that looks great on all skin tones. It gives a soft, natural tint that isn’t too bold but still makes a lovely impact.
The formula doesn’t dry out my lips, which I really appreciate, and it feels comfortable to wear. However, the taste isn’t great, and I did notice that it doesn’t last super long before needing a reapply.

I loved using the Hyaluron Tint lip stain serum. Really easy to apply with the applicator it went on smoothly and evenly. It left my lips feeling soft and moisturised and gave a great colour. With a subtle glossy finish.

What a great product. You only need to use a little amount as it goes a long way. The tint it leaves can be subtle or built on. It's perfect for the no make up days and it leaves the lips feeling soft and moisturised. Handy to have in handbag

Nice to apply, found it to be quite a thick texture that took a while to dry down, but didn't last very long compared to other stains I have tried. But I did like the colour when it eventually dried down.

Pretty but doesn't stick around

Starting off as a gloss before turning into a stain was a nice touch. The gloss does feel more like a serum than a sticky gloss which was welcomed. The stain felt in no way drying and was very comfortable. I actually didn't realise at what point the gloss turned into a stain because it was so seamless. Unfortunately the smokey mauve shade looked nothing like the pink in the pictures and was actually a deep purple on me. The stain didn't last through eating a meal so would have to be re-applied.
