I turned back time with this!!

As someone who is not used to wearing foundation I just wanted a sheer glow and oh my word this is totally amazing!!!....you can use as a sheer covering or a more solid layer as it's build able. It didn't sit in any of my fine lines and gave my skin a wonderful tone which blended with my natural skin colour. It was so easy to apply and I used it with the Revitalift PDRN to add even more skin care. All I can say is WOW.....ladies over 50 this is fantastic for mature skin and it's now part of my everyday products ....I love it!!!

I bought this yesterday, having tried it I found it oily and definitely not suitable for mature skin. Perhaps for young people without any blemishes it would be ok. But certainly not worth the money.

I really liked the idea, and it does not disappoint on aplication. Combining the serum with Hyaluronic acid and making it a solid-state foundation is superb. The applicator is a bit small in size but does the job and same is true for the mirror

Not for me!

I had high hopes for this but unfortunately it wasn't for me. If you have visible pores then I would avoid as it sinks into and highlights every single pore no matter how it's applied. I tried the sponge provided, a brush, a beauty blender and no matter what, it still didn't look good. The coverage is probably lovely if you have smooth skin. I tried the number 2 shade which was perfect for my skin tone so such a shame it didn't work out.

Great All-rounder

I have really enjoyed using this creamy, buildable but very easy to blend, tinted balm from L'Oréal. I have tried it alone as a substitute for foundation and as a bronzer over make up which I really liked too, so it can be used for multiple uses, including contour which it was perfect for. Feels lightweight on my skin too! Impressed. I Will be buying this again for myself and my daughter

I reviewed this product in a darker shade & it’s perfect for conturing! The formula is creamy, it doesn’t dry out. It works perfectly with your regular regular bronzer. It’s so good my 15 year old daughters stolen it.

Really silky textures and blends in so smoothly. The applicator is super handy and is the best tool for seamless blending. It left my skin looking smooth and lasted hours without a touch up. I didn’t have to set it with powder either- amazing!

A good product but not really for me. I just feel it is not the type of product i would reach for or gravitate too. The colour wasnt right for me an It felt a little too greasy although it was very buildable and blendable. I can see it suiting some bit for older skin type not really

I like that this compact has a mirror and also a sponge applicator. So you can pop this compact into your handbag for easy touch ups. The balm foundation is so easy to apply, it just melts into my skin and gives a natural, radiant finish. The balm feels lightweight and gives a light to medium coverage which is buildable.

I really like how smooth and creamy it feels. The texture is great! It feels so soft to the touch and quite easy to apply. It feel like it’s closer to a moisturiser. Gives a nice tint to the face. The compact itself looks so elegant with an expensive feel to it. The tinted balm feels so lightweight on my skin, and non drying or cakey looking, it's very easy to apply and covers well. It lasted well and looks very natural, and is easily removed. Great on my dryish skin, just the wrong shade for me.

Balm not for me

Wasn't sure what to expect with this balm as, never used a product like this before. I'm not a regular foundation user so, found it a little bit tricky to apply. I felt it sunk in easily but, the shade was way too dark for me. So can only judge this on the texture and appearance which, made my skin look a little bit dewy looking. It's probably best for contouring of which, I don't do. Saying that, I liked the packaging and, felt it looked like a premium product.

This is the perfect hybrid of makeup and skin care. It’s buildable and blends really easily. It’s very light on the skin and doesn’t sit in my wine lines. I bought a darker shade and have been using that as a contour/bronzer and it works really well. Definitely a multi purpose product that’s good for my skin

Fabulous container

L'Oreal Tinted Balm is a light-as-air, solid cream, foundation. It comes in a fabulous container, which keeps the sponge separate to the cream, which is a lot less messy and more hygienic. I have fair skin with a slight rosy glow and chose the medium colour, thinking that this would be suitable for the summer. It is however, too dark for an all-over colour on me, so I have been using it on my cheekbones, forehead and chin as a bronzer. This is perfect as most bronzers are too dark. I would buy again, but would choose a lighter fair-to-medium shade.

A few attempts for perfection

It took a few attempts to perfect this foundation, I used my fingers first as I usually put foundation on this way but it didn’t cover well. Second time I used a foundation brush but found the coverage hard to even up. My last attempt I used a slightly damp sponge this worked better but I prefer using a liquid foundation, easier to apply and layer if necessary. I probably will not replace this foundation, it felt ok but heavier than I normally would use and the colour was a bit dark so not good for pale winter skin.

This tinted balm is so good. Honestly it was a little dark for me so I used it as a bronzer and the way my skin looked dewy is amazing. It is so creamy and buttery, it’s very easy to use with a brush or blender, and it blends so well. Love it

I have tried it alone as a substitute for foundation and as a bronzer over make up which I really liked too, so it can be used for multiple uses, including contour which it was perfect for. So, it didn't work as a foundation for my skin tone, but I used it as a bronzer instead. The balm itself is easy to apply and blends into the skin well. It felt light on my skin and gave my skin a nice glow. The balm comes with an applicator underneath the compartment which was very handy.

It is hydrating and gives an unreal coverage that has meant I have stopped using foundation, especially during this summers heatwaves. I'm not a regular foundation user so, found it a little bit tricky to apply. I felt it sunk in easily but, the shade was way too dark for me. So can only judge this on the texture and appearance which, made my skin look a little bit dewy looking. It's probably best for contouring of which, I don't do. Saying that, I liked the packaging and, felt it looked like a premium product.

It comes in a fabulous container, which keeps the sponge separate to the cream, which is a lot less messy and more hygienic. I have fair skin with a slight rosy glow and chose the medium colour, thinking that this would be suitable for the summer. It is however, too dark for an all-over colour on me, so I have been using it on my cheekbones, forehead and chin as a bronzer. This is perfect as most bronzers are too dark. I would buy again, but would choose a lighter fair-to-medium shade.

Second time I used a foundation brush but found the coverage hard to even up. My last attempt I used a slightly damp sponge this worked better but I prefer using a liquid foundation, easier to apply and layer if necessary. I probably will not replace this foundation, it felt ok but heavier than I normally would use and the colour was a bit dark so not good for pale winter skin.

I’ve taken to just wearing a tinted sunscreen this summer but sometimes it can wash me out - especially if I conceal with it. But I’ve taken to using this to add colour back into my face and it’s honestly stunning. It’s so subtle, it’s easy to blend, it’s buildable and most importantly it’s natural looking I’m not someone who has mastered contouring or snatching their face and this has really made it easier to add some dimension back while being relatively if not fully foolproof. It sets beautifully with a light power (as my skin tends to run drier now than it used to) but it’s just so nice to encourage a healthy glow of the skin as I struggled with barrier repair for so long! I made the switch from brushes to sponges a while back and I do in fact love the little flat sponge that comes with. I apply with my finger and then blend using the sponge.

Choose your shade carefully, mine was a little to dark for my paleness but it doesn't diminish the overall quality. The applicator just glides across my skin. The product is somewhere between serum and skin smoothing foundation. I love the light smooth feel and buildable coverage. It doesn't cake into any creases or dry out my skin as the day goes on. It's perfect for summer so I can feel put together without being overdone. And I can touch it up at anytime. A new permanent fixture in my bag.

I tested it first by smoothing some onto my finger and then on my hand and it showed as very dark on it. I opened the other side and discovered a mirror with a small shaped sponge. I asked my daughter if she knew how to use it and she told me it's for contouring the face. She sent me a short WhatsApp video which showed her using her own product and how she applied it. I asked my husband to take photos of before and after I used L'Oréal's True Match. I am semi-retired now and only wear makeup when working so, although I was pleased with the result I don't think I would use buy this for myself.

It adds a natural warmth to the face and you can even do light contouring with it as well. It has no shine which is great during summer as it is the last thing you would need on hot sweaty days. I'd say the coverage was medium, but that's more than enough for me as I don't like to wear anything too heavy. Texture was nice and creamy - its comes with a sponge applicator pad but I used a foundation brush and it went on nicely, although the applicator and built in mirror would be super useful for using on the go. The shade was a good match for me. Overall a nice product and I would recommend.

This product is a tinted foundation balm so shade 3 light or shade 4 light medium would have been a closer match to my skin tone. I decided to test and review as contour and bronzer rather than as a foundation. It comes in a square plastic compact with a clear lid so you can see the shade. There is a compartment underneath that houses a applicator. It looked quite translucent in the pan but was surprisingly pigmented and a little goes a long way. I used my fingers to warm the product and it melted effortlessly over my skin. I only used a small amount to give a sheer coverage and was pleased it didn’t register as too orange or yellow so it did show as a neutral shade. I think it might blend well with other lighter shades as a contour, leaving a slight glowy look to the skin. #ad up-front. I received this product for free to test and review.

I'm really impressed by the formulation — with 80% skincare ingredients, it feels much more like a rich treatment than a heavy foundation. The hyaluronic acid makes itself known right away: skin feels properly hydrated and gets that healthy, natural glow without ever looking "caked on." It's incredibly sheer and lightweight and gives a healthy glow rather than heavy coverage. If you're looking for something to cover up dark spots or blemishes, this isn't the right product. If you want an ultra-natural look with a barely-there effect, this tinted balm fits the bill perfectly. Cons - the there wasn't enough glue on the metal plate of the foundation so it fell out when I was applying it. Pros - the soft, smooth make-up sponge is a delight to use and a lovely touch.

In recent years my skin has dried up and been hit by the joys of peri-menopause, so I've found liquid based foundation don't sit well on my skin so have switched to a powder based foundation instead. Due to my drier skin I use a primer first and then apply this balm and my skin loves it. For a light formula it gives a good coverage and is so easy to apply - starting from the nose and working outwards, the sponge in the lower section of the compact is small but mighty. Admittedly it doesn't survive the heat well, but nor does my other foundation. Some setting spray would definitely help with that. I will definitely be continuing to use this as my skin looks glowing without looking shiny. The coverage makes my under eye shadows disappear and my skin just feels better.
