The best matt primmer ever!
Finally, I have found my perfect primer. I bought and tried this for the first time today, and oh my word, I am blown away. I have brown skin, but I still wear SPF 50 sunscreen every day, so trying to get a compatible matt primer to sit on top has been a nightmare; the silicone ones leave a greasy feel on my skin and do not work well with sunscreen. This primer is very lightweight and works well with my sunscreen; it mattified my skin but gave me a lovely dewy look as the day wore on. I don't wear foundation and only apply concealer on the occasional dark spot I get left by spots, so I'm not sure how it works with foundation or a full face of makeup. Still, it held well with the little concealer I did apply and felt lovely on my skin throughout the day. L'Oréal, please don't ever stop making this primer.

Bring back infallible!
Absolutely awful product. Makeup does not sit well at all and slides when you try to blend so it goes patchy. The infallible primer was a million times better. I’ll be finding a new brand.

Bought as my primer seems to have been discontinued like everything these days. Been using for three months and found out that not only does it not keep my nose matte which is what I was wanting, it dries out the face showing up every pore and foundation does not go smoothly on, leaving foundation marks and when you try to pat them out if the foundation has already set it will start to peel off. Over the day, try not to touch your face as if you do the primer will also rub off and make it look like you have stuff coming off your face.

I am so surprised by the negative reviews here. I have been using this primer for a week and I have tried many, many primers but this is the best one for me. Horrible
Tried this one as I couldn't order the infallible one anymore. The worst primer I ever tried, I can't apply my foundation if I am using it, makes my skin look horrible, dry and caky. Bring back the infallible primer please.

Terrible purchase
Bought this primer recently. All I can say is don't buy it. It is terrible. Make up is very hard to blend over it. Feels like my makeup is caked on my face. Total waste of money. Bring back the infallible primer PLEASE

Prime Lab 24H Matte Setter
Due to L'Oreal discontinuing the Infalliable Mattifying base which i liked, i bought this one. I can only conclude that its average. It was ok on parts of my face but other areas of my makeup seem to have been worn off, despite nothing touching those parts of my face. So I conclude it gives blotchy results. Unlikely to buy it again!

Worst primer ever
I miss the infallible primer, used it for years and made my makeup look smooth and helped it last. This new primer is horrid, makes your makeup look cakey and dry, almost impossible to blend your makeup over it which means it leaves streaks on your face. Also seems to make my makeup come off easier and I find I’m missing patches throughout the day. Going in the bin

Too thick on skin for me
Too thick. I was not a fsn of this product. I found that gor my skin it seemed too heavy and ehen used with foundation that my skin looked too dry and felt very flakey. My daughter has tried it and had no problem so it might have just been my skin

Sold as primer but isn’t good for this
I bought this because the clear primer wasn’t available. It makes it very difficult to apply make up which dries before it can be smoothed out and then hurts my skin as I have to rub it harder to smooth out make up. The clear basic primer is lovely and make up glides on over it so if you want primer don’t buy this. It was wasted money for me

Fantastic primer, holds make up firmly in place all day (and night). It also works wonders on your skin so I found I didn't need to wear foundation as often. Thank you LHA and salicylic acid! Highly recommend.

Bring back the infallible primer
I seem to be experiencing the same issues as others who have rated it low. And for the same reason, I had to buy this primer because the one I usually buy, the infallible primer, has been out of stock everywhere for ages I fear it’s been discontinued to make way for this new disappointment.
I have quite oily skin and used to LOVE the infallible primer. This new one claims up to 24 hours shine free, try 4, by lunchtime I am shinier than if I didn’t use it at all. Not only this, but my makeup does not sit well on it at all. If I dare touch my face, i.e. if I scratch it, I wear glasses too so you can only imagine the state of my nose when I remove them, the make up separates and you cannot blend it in to cover it up for love nor money, the rest of the make up just keeps coming away.
Certain areas on the face, especially throughout the day, I see make up looking cakey. At the end of the day my face just looks a mess.
Super disappointed and even more so as I bought 2 bottles thinning this was going to outdo the infallible one. Don’t waste your money especially if you have oily skin like me.

Ok but
I bought this because I usually use L’Oréal infallible primer and thought this was the ‘improved version’. Sadly not. It doesn’t seem to sit well on my combination skin - some of my foundation looks great on top of it and other parts look bobbly and the foundation sits in my pores. Tried the advice from L’Oréal live chat about small dotes etc but still not worked. I guess if my skin was even in its shine/ dryness then it would be better.

Good for dry skin not for oily
This was a good primer for the money but wasn’t the best I’ve used. I have combination skin and after about 5/6 hours of wear my t zone was starting to look shiny again under my foundation when using this primer. It was a good base for make up but I wouldn’t say it’s the best for combination skin.

Flawless and long lasting
Love this primer, it gives a perfect canvas for makeup and creates a flawless finish. Beautifully matte skin but without looking "flat" or drying out, amazingly long-lasting and really extends the wear of my foundation.

Creamy flawless base
Really nice product and it definitely helps make up last and look flawless. Good texture and consistency and nice fragrance too. Havent noticed any difference in regard to its anti wrinkle properties but will keep using it as it is probably gradually. Really nice and would buy this product again.

I have tried many primers and I haven’t found them to be great until this one my make up now looks and feels flawless . My skin looks a lot more balance then before I get a lot of redness this has helped with that lots . I love this primer .

A prime primer
As recommended I spread the primer using my fingertips and found it to be a nice texture and a little goes a long way. Give it time to set before applying make up etc as you may find you might not need any foundation or just a minimal amount. It's lightweight so doesn't leave skin feeling claggy.

Nice primer, a little goes a long way. It smoothed my skin and helped keep my makeup on all day. I wait about 30 secs before applying my matte foundation and they blended together well. I have dry skin and it was fine.

Nice primer

Fabulous primer
I can say with no doubt this is one of the best primers I’ve ever used. If you have a mixed skin then this will be your best friend. It is very light weight and it gets absorbed very quickly. I like it ans it makes my makeup looks smoother and lasts for longer. Definitely recommend it.

Smooth and long lasting
I absolutely love this primer, the best I have tried so far! It is easy to apply and it goes on evenly, also you need fairly small amount of it. It feels kind of refreshing on skin without adding heaviness or sticky layer. It is fantastic at holding make up in place for the whole day plus I found that it is easier and smoother to apply foundation on top of it. I have a shiny forehead and while using this primer the shine was gone, I was checking it throughout the day and nope the shine did not appear even by evening! Fantastic! By the evening my make up looked almost like in the morning which is much better than without it. I would dare to say that it makes foundation to look smoother too! It did not block pores which is really good for me. Overall I am happy with results and I would recommend it to my friends.

Perfect base
I really love this primer. It applies well. The texture is thinner than I’m used to but don’t let that fool you! It provides the perfect base for make up. It doesn’t flake and lasts all day. Use a good quality cleanser to remove!

Better on its own without makeup
For context, I have combination skin and have only tested this product for one day, so cannot comment on long term effects. I made sure to moisturise then pair this primer with a matte foundation, I wanted to test the claim on the bottle about not piling, which I confirm was true! Not sure if the end results would have been better or worse with a more dewy finish foundation. The primer itself really does mattify my skin quickly but doesn't make it feel dry. There is a nice cooling sensation on application, makes your skin feel really clean and fresh. When I started putting my foundation on, it wouldn't blend in as well as it normally does, like the bottle says the primer really grips the foundation! It also seemed to make my foundation get stuck in and highlight my pores which doesn't normally happen. The one good thing is that it made the foundation look even smoother than it normally does, especially on my forehead and nose. At the end of the day, unfortunately a lot of the foundation was coming off, I would say more than normally for the foundation in question, which I have worn many times and is a premium brand. Going forward I think I will wear this primer alone without foundation especially in the warmer months.

THE best primer!
I am loving this new matte primer. A little goes a long way so the tube lasts ages! It is super easy to apply and it feels lovely on my skin. It doesn't clog the pores and it feels lightweight which I love. It really is the perfect base for foundation, I have used a few different formats of foundation on top and each sits lovely on the primer. I didn't experience any creasing or crumbling at all. The foundation stays in place for longer when using this product and it really does give the base layers a flawless finish. Highly recommended to all.

A lovely lightweight clear primer ,that goes on well and isnt greasy.
Great for a oily skin and people with blemishes as it helps to keep the shine down on the skin,I like the fact it has salicylic acid in the ingredients .

Flawless finish

Makeup lasted all day and half the night using this primer. I love that it has LHA and salicylic acid in it making it a skincare product too... It does have a sticky feeling to it but that just grips your products more to your face which means it lasts longer i think its brilliant

A primer that extends the life of your make up
This primer really extended the life of my make up. I applied it in the morning, then applied my make up and late that evening my make up still looked like it was freshly applied. It gives a good base for foundation and is not at all drying

This is a nice primer that lasts well. It would be ideal for someone with oily skin, as it really does soak up any oils and mattifies the skin. I wouldn't recommend this for someone with dry skin. For normal/combination skin i would just apply to the t zone. Without makeup, skin appears more smoothe and makeup also sits well on top of it.

A great primer that gives a good base for your make up. It’s light feeling on the skin unlike some primers which can feel cakey on the skin. It leaves the skin looking matte which is great and it last well underneath your make up. Helps to give the foundations for a flawless face.

Never used primer before but I have to admit that L’Oréal Paris Prime Lab 24HR Matte Setter Primer is really good . Lightweight consistency, you need only small amount of primer. I have used this before my makeup and it’s helps my make up looks smooth , no smudges, no shininess.

Wow what a gorgeous little product this is, not only dose it make your make up glide on smoothly, last all day but also it hide those pores, blemishes and other little issues we all have with our make up.
This blends in leaving not a trace of any of those little imperfections even with a tinted moisturiser lasts all day love it

Feels amazing on the skin, give a beautiful even tone and keeps makeup on for longer. Won’t use any other primer. I find my skin looks super glowy and brighter in pictures and in person. Definitely would recommend for those with oily skin.

Long lasting look

Amazing primer!
Amazing primer! combines a blurring effect, keeps my foundation in place and also improves skintone. It doesn't dry my skin and it provides a matte effect that's really long lasting! I've been using it daily and have seen great improvement as my skin stays moisturised following my am routine while still holding my make up in place. Perfect adittion!

Matte primer
I liked the texture of this primer, it wasn’t as silicone feeling as older versions and it provided a matte and smooth base to apply my makeup. In terms of managing shine, it didn’t really appear to make a huge difference even with powder and setting spray but I will try with some of my long wearing matte foundations. I will state that it didn’t cause separation and that my foundation did apply well over it.

Definitely a "Matte Setter"

Typically, I have oily skin, but at the time of trying this product, I was experiencing dry skin, so I had to only apply this product to my nose (an area that was still oily). I would definitely recommend applying this product to ONLY oily areas, because it will keep your look matte, and potentially be too drying for dry areas!

This primer comes in a handy tube. You don't need much of this product. It is easy to apply and spreads well on the skin. It took seconds to dry. Left me skin smooth and shine free without making it dull. My foundation was easy to apply and stayed in place all day. Would definitely recommend.

Only a little needed then apply makeup. It glides on and make up definitely looks smoother and lasts a lot lot longer than without using this primer. Once you have used this primer it would be a definite go to, to always wear this before applying makeup to give a better finish.

Brilliant product.

Very impressed!
My skin can be quite mixed in areas and I absolutely must use a primer before applying make up. This primer has given me such a perfect, long lasting finish. I don’t usually go for a matte finish but I was so impressed that my make up lasted all day without needing any touch ups.

Prime primer
I've used this a couple of times and it's really improved the longevity and application of my foundation. I used moisturiser underneath before putting a thin layer of primer. It helped my complexion stay radiant and even without caking all day

Good primer
I really like this primer. It has a light texture and i only need to use a small amount each time. I use it under my makeup and it does help the makeup go on smoother. The matt finish also works as there was no shine on my face.
