As most people don't realise, this is a coloured hair gloss, it is not a hair dye. The main aspect of it is to gloss your hair and yes to enhance your hair colour and to bring out warm tones or cool tones to your hair colour. So when people who are a level 4 dark brown try to use this brand in a level 7, expecting it to lighten your hair, then give bad reviews stating it doesn't work, just remember: colour does not lift colour. Glosses are supposed to enhance your colour and colour tones. So it's good to Use this in 1 or 2 colours lighter or dark than your hair colour. Eg. I have level 2 black hair, so I can use colours in levels 1, 2 and 3.
I have used the blue black colour today and it has really brightened up and refreshed my colour, it looks a jet black and has cancelled out and reddish tones to my hair (because blue colour cancels out red). It looks so natural and glossy and healthy. Very good. A good quality product. I think I will try ebony black next time.

First time I used this dye my hair went a really nice navy blue colour that looked very blue in bright light and jet black in dark light, after 3rd or 4th time dying it (3 months in between each time) it didn’t go as blue but you could definitely tell it wasn’t just jet black. Have been using this dye for 3 years now and haven’t found anything better, especially for naturally darker hair.

Bought this on Friday and it dyed my shoulder-length dark brown hair jet black with a slight blue tint in light. A friend helped me apply it. There is a lot of product once you mix it, so one box should be fine for most hair lengths. The conditioner with royal jelly really does leave my hair feeling softer; I will probably use it every other week to stretch it out during the duration of the dye.
