Have been using Casting for years and always happy with the result but the change of formula over past few months is causing my scalp to feel really irritated once I put the dye in my hair it starts getting itchy within a couple of minutes. Unfortunately I will have to stop using it. Please L’Oréal bring back the old formula.

The new formulation is awful! It’s thinner than the original version and drips everywhere during application. I bought 513, which looks medium/dark brown on the box, but which has turned my hair a horrible harsh black. I used to really like this product but won’t be buying any more!

I have used Light Brown creme gloss for years and have always been really pleased with the result. I dyed my hair today in preparation for going on holiday in 2 days and the colours is completely different. It is a really dark, almost black colour and I look awful. I have washed it 3 times today to try and tone it down but it's not changing. It always used to look natural but just looks like a bad dye job. I'm so upset that it will look so awful on holiday.

I dyed my hair with Iced Truffle two days ago. I thought I was being super cautious going for a medium brown as I wanted a cool chocolate brown and know they always come out darker… my hair is basically black. The difference is hysterical. At least the conditioner is gorgeous smelling…

Terrible new formula

I recently used the new formula for colour 306. It's made my hair really brassy and seems to have dyed it rather than just colouring it. It's not washing out, it just gets more orange with each wash. Bring back the old formula please. It was a great product. The new formula is terrible and I won't risk using it again.

I have been using Black Cherry for nearly three years but since it’s been reformulated the colour fades so much quicker than it used to and i wash my hair in cool water and heat treat my hair a lot less frequently than i did before the formula changed and my hair feels a lot more stringy since the product changed. Unfortunately i can no longer purchase what i used to sing praises for and am hunting for a new semi permanent red dye

Been using this hair dye for years and have always been really happy. Got confused looking for medium brown now though as it is now called 500 Light Brown. Be careful as it is not , it is medium brown. Their new conditioner does not work for my hair. It left it frizzy and hard to style. The previous honey conditioner was so much better. I wish they had left the previous hair dye alone .

Loreal has always been perfect for my hair great coverage, smell is lovely with the conditioner and always gives the results you are wanting, my hair was a sort of mahogony colour and wanted more a a reddish tone, applied this and I have the perfect tone, the tip is to make sure you are fully covering every part and leave for the recommended 20 minutes and you will notice results.

Colour- I used 'Iced Truffle 513'. It does come out darker than the box colour, but I wanted my hair dark again so I am happy with it. I would say go a shade lighter if you really don't want a dark colour. It does fade slightly with every wash, but after 2 and half months the colour was still looking nice and not too brassy as I used to cover old balayage.
Use - Easy to use, gloves are a bit tight and one pair ripped. I needed to use two boxes for full coverage, but my hair is fairly long and quite thick.
Grey coverage- not great, if you are looking to cover a substantial amount of grey hair I would avoid this product. My greys are slightly less obvious but still visible.
Overall I am happy with how the colour turned out and I have used it twice now. It is very easy to work with and left my hair feeling and looking good.

This has saved me from looking ancient during lockdown with no hairdressers. It's easy to use, pretty good coverage, and leaves your hair feeling really soft and looking really shiny.
I am allergic to lots of things and most hair dye stains my pale skin terribly (always shocks the hairdressers). I am neither allergic to this, nor do I get terrible stained skin.
I've seen the bad reviews....not sure why you would complain that a brown hair dye has turned your hair brown. It kind of says it on the box.
If you have dark brown hair and want to keep the grey at bay, I think this is a pretty good choice.

I have medium brown hair and after literally have my hair down from roots being natural with the rest to my shoulders being long faded old dark brown I thought this would come out well. Plus side is that the colour came out even all over so no noticeable difference between old colour and natural hair but it is not the colour on the box. The rest is a negative rant because I have sparse grey hair at the front and visible grays at my parting that didn't get covered, the colour is warm brown with a deep copper shine, not cherry, which looks horrible with my cool pinky skin tone and having had dark cherry red before at the hairdressers I thought that this would be a good alternative until Lockdown lifts and I can go my own hairdressers. I was wrong. Good job I picked a semi permanent but now have the job of trying to speed up washing this out. Avoid is my advice.

did absolutely nothing to my hair!! i followed every step, step by step and the end result is just my natural hair!! wont be buying again.

I have dark brown hair, I wanted to have red cherry colour on the mid lengths to ends .. like balage.. I did one bit of hair and realised no change.. in fact a darker shade to my brown hair so I didn’t use the rest.. I don’t want black hair .. terrrible waste of money!! No red at all!!!
